years ago i had a condo in Chicago ridge, and there was an old abandon Car siting in the lot with expired plates and 2 broken windows,A lot of condo kids played in that lot...so i called the Chicago ridge police and told them about the abandon car, and how it had broken widows and was unsafe with kids playing in the lot,

there response was well thats private property, we cant tow it and impound it..so screw u ''

3 weeks later the parking stickers were out, and they went threw all the condo lots and wrote every car with expired stickers...O that they can do , money, money...

Read up on the ordinance. Then make educated conversation. They can't tow off private property without property owner permission, they can ticket.

The Police Officer must be able to see from the street that there is no vehicle sticker displayed, for a ticket to be issued!

Ummm...Still you. Buy the village sticker or don't cry when you get a ticket for not having one.

That is an orignal idea ACCEPT RESPONSIBILTY for not buying your sticker instead of blaming the police for doing their job. Though you'd be happy to see that the police are actully looking at your house instead of just driving by.

Wait, so you want to ticket a city vehicle for no city sticker? LoL. How would that work? The city would pay themselves the fine for the ticket. I really don't see how that would do anything.
So you state city vehicles are exempt.

Well kind of I guess. I'm just saying, if they were to ticket a city vehicle, and the city paid the ticket, the money just goes in circles. Doesn't seem to do much good. Not like it would be revenue for the city.

The real question is what happened to the 30 dollars that was alloted for the sticker in the first place. Is the sticker on his personal vehicle? Was the money used for something else?

But they have it in the budget,we pay for. like JFV said where did the money go . If there is an out dated sticker displayed on city vehicles remove them completely or make them current.
