My prayers are with the young lady and her family. Kids need to know that they have someone that they can talk to. Growing up now days, whether mom and dad are in the same house, they need some one they can come to. You have to communicate with your kids and let them know that they can come to you for whatever, know that they wont get into trouble. We as parents have to listen to our kids, pay attention to the world THEY live in, and be observant. If the parents aren't listening or paying attention, who is? She's a baby and she was crying out to someone, whether she spoke or didn't speak, who was paying attention? Only God's judgement. Have mercy on her soul. Also, for the baby boy that didn't have a chance.

Michelle..... I totally agree and that was very well said. At 13 my biggest decision was to play football or basketball. I feel sorry for her and because of the lack of maturity in a 13 yr old she wont know the magnitude of her actions till she is older. I pray for her to get counseling and the system not to go to hard on her so she might still save her life after such bad decision. And i know the baby boy never got a chance but destroying her life will not change the decision the KID made. She has the rest of her life to regret it. Be blessed.........

I hate to hear stories like this, my heart aches for that baby boy. I don't know her situations but can't wrap my mind around why anyone would do such a thing, despite what has happened in their past. We have way too many excuses to justify our wrong doings. I pray that baby didn't suffer because of his mother's poor decision making. I don't believe that at the age of 13 I was under any misconception that murder was OK. My 7 year old daughter heard this story on the news and knew that putting a baby in a garbage can was wrong! Is seems as though the 13 year had enough sense to get HERSELF to the hospital for medical care after disposing of the baby, it's just too bad she didn't decide to take the baby with her. I pray we make better decisions as a nation.

My daughter is 12. She knows the value of human life...This girls age is no excuse..Judge Midlo30 says juvie center till 18 then jail till 30. The acountability for death should not be minimized by the age of the guilty party.
