Anyone at all looking for good not "diner" style food should try as following:

In Savannah,
1. Up Towns ( Up scale, Nice, Full Bar, Families Welcome and a Starbucks!)
2. Sun Rise Cafe (yes it's small and typical diner food) but amazingly awesome and very cheap
3. La Potosina ( yummy mexican at it's best)
- That's about all I like in Savannah the rest are all the same. Ugh it's all diner food 1 meat 3 veggies and it's not bad but it's not great.

Here's the best part though only twenty minutes away is the wonderful town of Pickwick. The food is always excellent. I highly suggest it. Here's my top few.
1. Jon's Pier ( Fresh Seafood, Perfect Steaks, Juicy Chicken, Pasta - try Fett Alfredo w/ Chicken, Salads, Home Made Salad Dressings and Desserts, Families Welcome, Full Bar- seperated from restaurant no smoking inside although there's a deck for smokers, and All employees are the best as well as kitchen staff.)
Specials- Tuesday Wine night any wine sold by the glass you can buy a 1/2 glass for just $2 no matter the full glass cost. Wednesday is trivia anyone playing will recieve happy hour price all night and could win money, gift cards, or a prize. Thursday $2.50 MARGARITAS frozen or rocks, can't beat that. Every day their happy hour is 5 pm until 7 pm domestic beer is $1.50 Imports are $2.50 goes up $1 after 7pm.
2. Broken Spoke ( Very Costly more so than Jon's Pier all though very nice place. Large portions, Full Bar and attached Pizza Place- Mombies -
3. Cafe St. Clair ( Weird Hours though but much more of a family place, Great Food, Famous French Onion Soup, and the biggest plus it's located on Pickwick Lake at Aqua Yacht Harbor.)
4. The Rib Cage ( A Pickwick Staple Place, my all time favorite is either the cheese plate or pulled chicken bbq sandwich plate, the best place for fast, just got off water, want food kinda place.)

In Adamsville:
1. Saw Meal ( does have southern style food but it's always good, chicken salad is amazing and the best best best is their desserts- all home made and the strawberry cake is the best in the world!)
2. BP's Pizza ( Take out only kinda but it's the best pizza in every town around here, and I love pizza, seriously try this out!)

These are my opinions I've eaten at every place within a 35 mile distance. I'm not much on diners but they aren't awful always. My favorite places are the ones listed in Pickwick. Be nice and honest w/ your waiter and they will make sure your order is right, if it isn't understand they did not cook it but will get it corrected. And most importantly tip well... 18% is the standard and 20% if they do a good job and 25% is for outstanding service. I am a waitress and customers are most important to our job. We make $2.13 an hour and rely on the customers to make our money. We try hard and if something isn't right let us know, don't be afraid to send something back that isn't what you ordered or how you ordered it. Most of us (wait staff) take pride in out jobs. Your whats important and we want you to be happy. Thanks for reading!

*HAPPY EATING*

Up Town- Food is cold and not fresh like Savannah Cooks.

Johns Pier- Ice cold terrible prime rib. Not a good place to eat.

Broken Spoke-- very pricey, awesome shrimp but a dirty place -always get poor ratings from the health department.

Freddie T's-- It is hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes bad. Poor service and management. Waitresses are to busy flirting and hanging out and no management to see they do their job.

Janes dinner by far the best restuarant around. Uptown sucks unless you like paying 15$ for microwave speg. And a piece of bread not even a salad. Chop house has uptown beat.

i like the walmart parking lot. The bloated, mashed diapers are delicious. i like to roll them up like a taquito and gulp them down. This intrigues me slightly. Just slightly.
