The point of my message was not meant to single any person out in particular. It was not intended to insult or demean any of you. I basically used the forum to vent some of the frustration, anger, hurt, general saddness and the many other emotions I have been trying to deal with since my daughter's death at the hands of another. I hope and pray that none of you ever has to experience a tradgedy anything the likes of this. What I and the rest of my family have experienced over the past nearly 3 weeks, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I couldn't hate anybody that much. I can't think of a pain that could possibly be worse, which is a good thing, because if there is one out there it would be intolerable.

I understand your feelings, to a degree, and it is important to express them, and by the looks of things, this is a good place to do it! I too have had to cope with loss. Not only in my own personel life, but my life as a soldier. I deal with some pretty off the wall things and I have learned to process things in a different manner. I have shed tears for fallen soldiers and I have shed tears for your daughter. One is with pride and the other is with total confusion. To be ripped away from everything you love and know, with not even so much as a rips your heart out. I have just totally run out of things to say...all I can say is that your Daughter was a beautiful girl and may she rest in peace. I remeber her like it was yesterday. Standing at the bus stop every morning. I remeber her and I running over to meet up with Mike, Chris, Jason and Joey Baker. We were all such good friends. We were both crushed when we lost Mike. I remeber going four wheel riding with her, and we used to go for long walks. I even remeber her telling me stories about spending time with her grand parents...she told me that her family called underwear 'gutchies'...some reason that just stuck with me over the years!

Time does heal the pain, i know that is the last thing you want to hear, but i promise, the tears will subside to smiles when you recall all the funny things she did or said. You will shake your head, look up and smile, and know in your heart, she is smiling back. Please know, you are in my thoughts.

All I can say to that last post is thank you, thank you, thank you and I'm glad you didn't take anything I said as a personal attack on you. It certainly was not meant that way. Thank you again, this time for being one of Cheri's friends. As suprising as this may sound, the only bright spot so far regarding this occurred at the funeral home. That bright spot was finding out just how many friends Cheri really had and how much they really cared. The sheer numbers of people who showed up to pay their respects was incredible. My mother told me afterwards that she had never seen so many people at a funeral before, with the exception of a televised funeral for a polotician.

To you and yours, from the bottom of my heart, if ever you need a friendly chat, I will be here...on this blog!

If we could have a lifetime wish
A dream that would come true,
We'd pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and You.
A thousand words can't bring you back
We know because we've tried....
Neither will a thousand tears
We know because we've cried....
You left behind our broken hearts
And happy memories too....
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted You.
