That would be a great scene for a western movie: Bobcat struts into the saloon, and the cowboys climb on chairs to avoid it.

It's somehow reassuring that, apparently, no one in the bar was carrying a gun.

This just makes me sad for the bobcat. It's true that it was acting in an oddly aggressive way, as bobcats are usually shy and skittish, but it's also very possible that this was someone's dumped pet. Unfortunately, it's common for people to buy baby bobcats at flea markets in many parts of the country. And then the animals grow up and become too difficult to handle. So people dump them, and they don't know how to hunt, and they are not fearful of humans. This animal could have been looking for people because it was used to being fed by people.

The bobcat tested positive for rabies. Check out the bar's security camera view on cnn.com . Some good ole boy stuck his camera in the bobcat's face and got clawed. Darwin's law prevails.

I beg to differ with you about Darwins law. When someone shoves a camera in a bobcat's face when it is running loose inside a bar, this is more of a process of reverse evoulation. But you are correct in thinking that this individual can win the 2009 "Darwin Award"!

Darwin's law, as in survival of the fittest, or controlled selection, or... paraphrased... people too dumb to live have a lower probability of producing numerous offspring ... because they have a very high probability of doing very dumb and dangerous things. The guy was very likely exposed to rabies, and is being treated for same.

A bobcat walks into a bar in Arizona, and the bartender says to him,
"Wow, we don't get many bobcats in here"
The bobcat says,
"And with these watered down expensive drinks, you probably won't see many more!"
Then he ripped his throat out.

Maybe the bobcat went to that bar looking for cougars but all he found were dogs.

A bobcat goes in to a bar and tells a long, never-ending story when he's done he leaves. A half hour later the bobcat returns and someone yells out,"hey here's the bobcat with the long tail!"
Hey horse, why the long face?

A Polack comes home from work and catches his wife screwing another man.
She sees him and starts laughing.
He pulls out a pistol, and puts it to his head.
She laughs even harder.
Why you laugh, he says, why you laugh?
You're next!
