Sheriff proposes financial incentive for deputies living in outlying areas

In an effort to improve response times to calls in remote areas of Yavapai County, Sheriff Scott Mascher on Tuesday will ask the Board of Supervisors to approve a stipend program that would pay deputies and sergeants who live in the outlying parts of the county an extra $400 a month, for a total of $29,000 for the first half of 2012.

I think what they should do is take the money and teach these young wahoos (deputies) what to do and not what they think they should do. The wife and I will never call the Y.C.S.D. for any assistance again after a charge of Domestic Violence. One day I hope he or his family are involved in a argument and charged with D/V.
