Add another nutball to the left: Pelosi, Franken, Waters, Reid, Frank,,,,, One more vote for that empty suit of a president to implement his socialist agenda.

I wish Walter Mondale would have stayed out of this since he chose to be seated next to a former clan member (leader) while our first mixed raced Prez was sworn in.Hopefully Al will put our best interests ahead of party politics but as a regular listener to his radio show I don't see that happening.

Do not think all of us here on the Range are Franken supporters. We're not. I know several people who refused to shake his hand when offered and before the Nashwauk parade (held before the Keewatin parade) I too refused to shake his hand when he came to where my group was lined up for the parade.

Mondale would stand behind Hitler if he claimed to be a democrat!! HIs predecessor HHH was the lib behind MN becoming the welfare state that it is. The feel good, help your brother, idiology is what got us in this predicament. I just wish people could see past the smoke and mirrors and the Pie in the Sky promises. We have no choice but to wait, see, and say I told ya so. All as the country takes one big giant dump!

Is anyone else afraid for our countries future? Democrats and Republicans are putting our kids at a disadvantage with our countries growing debt. I repeat, Democrats and Republicans are responsible as our countries debt as it continues to rise from one administration to the next. Our choices:

1) cut spending?:):):):)
2) freeze spending and grow the economy? I believe the rate of growth needed in not attainable with a stimulus or w/o a stimulus.
3) cancel our debt? Not sure we can do this, but we could try.
4) INFLATION? The true hidden TAX on the poor. The Fed is trying and we shall see.

Below is one of the greatest quotes that sums up our current plight:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage."
--Lord Alexander Tytler on the fall of the Athenian republic

Good luck Franken.

A lousy comedian does not a good politician make!

Unless ACORN is buying votes for you that is.

Democrats can't see their own reflection in a mirror at this point.

As a former Iron Ranger (aka the name) I could never understand the voters up there. That area is very conservative in just about everything but year in and year out they vote for Democrats. They don't agree with any of the dems agendas but I suppose it is because it's also a strong union area. It just doesn't name sense to me, people should vote for those candidates who best mirror your own beliefs.

If the image of Amy Klobuchar, Walter Mondale, Al Franken and Joe Biden together isn't enough to scare you, add the Representatove from Minnesota/Al Queda (I guess you can spell that any way you want?), and someone like 208th term Congressman Jim Oberstar and you have a pretty good picture of the Democratic Party.

It's partly the unions, but also the fact that nearly all the people who came to the Range to work 100 years ago were from countries with no history of democracy or party politics. Traditional views die hard, especially in an area lacking an influx of new people and ideas for generations.(All Range communities reached their peak populations in the 1920's) Those who've been leaving the Range ever since have generally been those with the most education and, dare I say, ambition.

It does make sense. Being conservative is not the same as being a vile wealthy worshipping republican.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Taurus

There are powerful forces at work in a relationship today, and they'll have quite an impact on you. If you're with that special person in your life, don't be surprised if there's a lot of sexual tension between you that manifests as irritation and bad temper. You'll probably have a huge row and then have a very enjoyable time making it up.
