EZ Lube Investigation

A major auto repair chain is in big trouble with the state of California. The Bureau of Automotive Repair is now seeking to shut down all 76 EZ Lube stores in Southern California.

This story sounds bizarrely familiar. It happened to me!! I went for an oil change and those were the exact words, "You need $200 worth of repairs, like flushing the transmission fluid." I had a shady feeling, but knowing nothing about cars myself, I followed their advice. Plus, they said my car would run perfectly fine for the next two years. Guess what. A couple days ago, my car has troubles. People were telling me I should get my transmission checked. I was going to go to EZ Lube and see what's up with my car. Fortunately I read this article on time. I am never going there again!!

I had just got new coolant when i got a new waterpumpa few weeks before i went to ez lube for an oil change. They said i needed new coolant. It kind of hurts my feelings that the employees would burn me like thatb when they aren't even on commisson. Or are they?

Yes they do get paid bonus on sales. The manager on down to the etchnicians. They get pressured in running high dollars per customer. They want to average above a 74.00 on each customer and if they don't get those goals the manager gets put on a 30 day notice then gets demoted or terminated.
