Trump's Jones Beach plans hit rough surf

An indignant Donald Trump said Tuesday that a state board's denial of a variance for a basement at his planned restaurant and catering facility at Jones Beach could delay construction "for years." The ...

I'M TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE NEW BOARD IS INTERFERING WITH WHAT COULD BE AN ENOURMOUS ADDITION TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE ON LONG ISLAND THAT THE TRUMP PLANS FOR JONES BEACH RESTAURANT ENVISION AND CERTAINLY WOULD ACCOMPLISH.
HOPEFULLY TRUMP WILL PREVAIL

And who are you...one of the many Trump children? He wants to see (yet again) the big big T R U M P neon at the beach-loves him name on buildings. But..I'd be willing to bet they'd cut him some slack, if he'd just get rid of that ridiculous comb-over. He uses more spray that I do !

If there's anything we don't need it's another monument to Trump's ego.
Jones Beach was reserved for the common people, in my estimation and this castle that Trump envisioned is out of place at Jones Beach.
One of the great features of the Boardwalk Restaurant was the informality of the place.
I just wonder how many of the people who favor this project have spent any time on the Beach- away from the noise and tumult so omnipresent in our lives.
This $30 million catering hall belongs in Atlantic City- the home of glitz. On second thought it might work at Long Beach.
Leave Jones Beach as undeveloped as possible.

Shut up you bunch of jealous crybabies! The man is trying to build a PROFITABLE business. Its the American way. Government can't be run the old way any more! We have to look for ways to maximize growth not dumb down to the lowest (read that the ever-popular common people refrain) denominator. Spending state tax dollars on an undeveloped beach is WRONG! It either pays its own way or should be closed. Enough of the welfare state mentality that exists on LI and in NYS. No wonder people are moving away in droves. Business will go where it is welcomed not burdened with Socialist ideals!
