Anyone know anywhere ?

Got a prescription. Eye exam was totally covered due to medical reasons (diabetes).

Up until this morning I was under the impression that the Wal Mart Vision Centers took Medicaid for glasses only. Not anymore.

Last time I needed them (4 years ago) Falcon Optical in Dryden was the only provider in Cortland County.
2 years ago they practically hung up on me after saying they couldn't help me,
No matter, I really didn't want to go there as they treated me like shit the last time. You know, scum of the earth, no good Medicaid recipient.
Well a hearty FUCK YOU to them.

So anyway I NEED glasses.

WalMart - NO
Falcon - NO
Cortland Eye Center - NO
Optical Barr - NO
Empire - NO
Sears - NO
Sterling - NO
Lens Crafters - NO
Pearle Vision - NO

A number of smaller stores in 3 counties -NO

DSS is totally freakin useless as all they know is the medical eyecare providers.
Even the 800 number they give you same thing. Medical only.

So anybody have a clue ?

I have straight Medicaid.Secondary but primary has no vision at all. Was never switched to a "plan" like others I know. Not backed by Medicare.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I have Medicaid because I am disabled and on SSI.

u can also go to a non profit organization programs called " gift of sight" by lens craft or "one sight" they would help give u a free pair of glasses....but you would need a refferal from a social agency ( church, social worker, etc )...they also have lions club that donates used glasses...
