Just an observation I have made over the time that the Amish have moved into our community. Shouldnt they have to clean up all the horse crap they leave all over the streets and I get to drive thru everyday? Or because of their lifestyle and religion they are excused? If my dog shits on the sidewalk or the street and I dont clean it up I will get fined if caught. Dont they make a bag for just such a reason for horses? Dont get me wrong, every amish person Ive met has been really nice and I dont think they should be run out of town. Just think this situation should be looked at. I drive through and around at least 5 or 6 piles every sunday on galatia street alone.

These might be the outcast Amish. They don't seem quite as self-sufficient or reluctant to use modern convenience, they just don't want to OWN such things. I say let them come, but they better have something to contribute other than inbreeding and nifty wagons. Build me a friggin garage, and I will rig up a tank for you to keep your milk in. Just don't be expecting me to entertain your every need and keep your hands off my daughters.
