So the main forum is down. When reached for comment, Todd James declines to answer it. Sounds funny to me. If I was accused of these things I would be screaming my innocence from the rooftops. To the person saying we should be scared of being brought up on slander charges. If that was true everyone I have ever known has been guilty of "slander" at one time or another. Get real.....the man needs to answer for himself. If hes really that concerned about his students then he should pack up and move on to another school because he's making everyone really uncomfortable whether he did it or not. This will not be forgotten.

I'm sure they are pulling their posts hoping that if they back off that we will back off and the whole thing will just go away. It's not going to. Not this time

The truth hurts and I cannot wait for those that are stepping forward to "reopen" this investigation. I would like to applaud the group of people/parents standing in protest. I would like to applaud the students that are standing by the victim despite being ostracized and bullied in the school. I would like to applaud the courageous young woman that stepped forward and went to the police. I know her and it leaves absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind of his guilt. How about supporting her and the other girls? I cannot believehow many people have attacked the girls. Is it so hard to believe that this might be true? I don't think so!! Based on the numerous posts...there is a pattern....there is guilt.... So parents and upset members of this community...PLEASE CALL THE STATE ED DEPT. Marathon alumni that have witnessed, or God forbid, suffered the same kind of hell that this little girl is suffering, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME FORWARD. Call the police first....not the school...too much has been hidden and we know that. Please do not attack the parents of this community because WE ARE TRYING! WE ARE TRYING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT! We are being met with soooo much resistance when the words/actions speak volumes. NOT Again! Not anyone else's daughter...If he were any kind of educator, an educator who teaches and has the children's best interest at heart...thenhe should resign. There is sooooo much that is going to come out. My heart goes out to his wife and his little girl for they are victims too. When you trigger an alarm at the school at in the early morning hours (1:30 ish a.m.) and you are there with a student.....? REally....what could be happening and what is the reason? Who is the young lady getting rides home after track? How many have witnessed the short shorts as he adjusts himself and puts his leg up on the chair for so many to see? Do you teach keyboarding by leaning over the girls to look down their shirts and guide their hands? It takes so much less to get rid of most!! Why is it so difficult to have him removed?

How many ? Two ? A dozen ?
I believe the correct answer would be ZERO. Hear that ? ZERO !!
Even if this doesn't go any further legally, how long do you figure the track program will last ?
You'll have the girls that are just scared enough by all this to not go out for it.
You'll have the parents who flat out refuse to let their daughters join.
Brilliant future for Marathon track and field.
This is why the family protested in front of the school. The way this is being handled is really sad. I really feel so bad for the young girl & her family.

I do not support this teacher but I will say that expecting him to comment is crazy, guilty or not, maybe he does not wish to hurt this girl any longer by announcing his innocence, he probably just thinks going on with his life is good enough. Marathon will never be the same after this wether he stays or goes. It is very sad. By the end of this he nor the girl will probably be in marathon, his reputation and hers are ruined forever here, I feel so bad for this girl, but I am very proud of her for standing up to him.

I think it's funny how on the Facebook page to "protect Todd James from I'll informed protesters" there are quotes such as: If we stop talking about it, this will go away and disinformation like he has been found innocent. I also remember that he would follow the boys and girls around in his black molester van while they were running up and down Marathon-McGraw road. I would see them get in and out of the van. Why didn't the school provide him with a bus or some other form of official vehicle?

I'm wondering how many people paying such close attention to the school also pay attention to their children's success, and the things they can do to promote it. Wrongdoing needs to be handled swiftly, and my children need to be, and will be safe. But this is a small community. We all know who thinks it's okay for boys to swear at teachers and strut around the school chewing and spitting tobacco, basically making our schools hell for the good kids. We all know who can't be bothered to show up at school to support their kid's success-but are first in line for a photo or interview. We all know the people who participate in and encourage the nasty behavior of their own youngsters, throwing inappropriate parties for their little girls and their friends. Where is the crowd of people and the buzzing of the hive for this type of stuff? This is the G-DM foundation of our community, and when you just watch it rot, you reap what you sow. Take care of this James thing, and then grow a pair, and get off your ass and stand in the rain to save your community from these other threats which confront your kids every day.

To the local father who just posted, I'm extremely concerned about my children in the hs school as well as the elementary. As I stand out and protest in front of the school this week for the bravest girl I know. I will tell you I Have not made many friends when I've called and turned students in for drugs (selling/using)and other things gosh forbid there be something to look into. There are more of us making a stink than you think as we talk to our children hear what is going on and turn the stuff in to our school. Our school is ignoring us time and time again. Please if you can think of a better way to go about this let me know.

Thank you to all that help keep the schools safe for my kids. When I hear about the hoodlums allowed to roam our halls and disrupt our classes, and the local mothers who want nothing more than to make party favors out of their little girls, it does nothing but encourage an environment of self-loathing, disrespect and failure to achieve. When these kids are never told no, and suffer no consequences at home-they come to my kids' school and disrupt their learning. I know this isn't what this forum is for-but self-absorbed domineering pervs don't just spontaneously appear. They are enabled and grown.

After reading all these, it really doesn't surprise me. I also experienced similar inappropriate behavior from this teacher. I was not in track, but he subbed for gym class. At the time and being a teenager, I thought it was funny, and he was the young, cool teacher. But now, as an adult, I recognize it for what it is. Mr. James has boundary issued with his female students. It's been known for years.

Dear Anonymous,
Please contact MRs. Stone at the high school...or better yet, call the state police. It has to end....this beautiful young woman is out of school, away from her friends, away from band, softball, track...all the things she loves. We are all staying strong...just cannot believe the resistance. Contact state ed...we are and we are there every day to show everyone that he NEEDS TO GO.

Been doing a little reading, a little research. Very interesting stuff, same situations at schools across the country.
While trying to make some sense of this, something became very clear and the pieces just fell into place.
MHS does not care one freaking bit whether James is guilty or innocent.
This latest situation was thrown in the public's face and they were forced to look at it.
Now, it cannot be hidden or suppressed.(Which is MHS/BOE's first choice.)
This district cannot afford what could be a 2 or 3 year court battle to oust James (paying him the whole time).
So now they have to keep him on staff and HOPE and PRAY that he is scared enough to not do it again.
Gambling on it and our children are the stake !
Disgusting and heinous.
Sexual predators and child molesters DO NOT STOP !
So now how much time do you figure we have ?
6 months, a year until he feels safe ?
Maybe he'll decide teenage girls are too risky and move to the younger ones.
Maybe a teenage girl will want to see for herself what makes him so hot.
Maybe she'll get in over her head.
Maybe we'll now have a full blown rape on our hands.
Maybe a couple of girls with a little knowledge of vigilante justice will set him
up so tight he can't get out.
To 20+ years of victims:
I understand how hard it is to revisit a painful period in your life.
Many of you have families now and maybe you have never shared what happened to you.
Maybe you have children in this school.
Try to find a way to set all he's done right on his doorstep.
Don't let his tenure be another 20 year get out of jail free card.
20 years. How many victims ?
Please don't help him to rack up anymore.
Tell the school, tell the BOE, tell the public.
Say it loud and say it proud.
Don't let our children's future be touched by this slime.
Don't let our children's future be decided by a roll of the dice.
Sexual predators and child molesters DO NOT STOP !
How right you are they do not stop, he will not stop. I've been researching like crazy trying to figure out a different route here is something I've had passed my way S.E.S.A.M.E (stop educator sexual abuse misconduct and exploration) I think if we get everyone with the same complaint linked up through an organization willing to help we'll have much better results. Let me know what you think
