Lets add this up:

If the suspect had been caught:

Court costs - outrageous
Attorney fees - even more
Jail costs (food, housing, etc.)- Too much for taxpayers

Now that the suspect has been killed:

Court costs - NONE
Attorney Fees - NONE
Jail Costs (food, housing, etc.)- NONE
Bullets - Minimal cost

I would say he was just a little bit more than a "suspect".

if someone in my family robbed a store, putting other people at risk, then shoots at police officers, i pray that someone puts a bullet in their head. then we don't have to worry about arguments at family get-togethers after that!

Why can't more cases end this way?(minus the injured deputy).

OK. Which family member. Your daddy, mommy, son, daughter. Which.

And how about they do it in front of their child too.

3 bullets in the head.

Just a little educational knowledge for you. Your's is not a word. It does not need an apostrophe. Thanks.

i thought it went as planned.

1. he refused to come out and surrender.
2. police used tear gas to coax him out and he return fire with live bullets.
3. police return fire "maybe" or "maybe not" hitting him. story didnt say.
4. end of negotiations.

good negotiations tactics to me...

I'm sorry. The point I am trying to get across is:

He commited an armed robbery. There was an ALL DAY standoff. ALL DAY. And shot at police officers whereupon the police played judge, jury, executioner.

Versus ONE hour which Albuquerque police dept gave a man who did NOTHING wrong, upon which they proceeded to muder this man. Almost killing his daughter in the process.

Sorry. But it makes me ill when I see SWAT storys where there are 5,6,12 hour negotiations with a person who commited murder or other violent crimes.

I have a real problem with it.
