For pete sake, just have mail delivery every other day and you cut the number of carriers in half. Who needs their mail delivered 6 days a week?

That's true. Most times mail is bad news anyway so I'm happy getting it every other day.

The only people who really must have it 6 days a week are welfare and unemployment recipients. Yes, I said that out loud!

Another reason why you should never be the one in charge of anything. Thank God, you have no more authority than you do.

Yea and misinformed too..Thats what jumping to conclusions leads to..Accusing the wrong individuals and then punishing them unjustly until it all blows up in your face

Welfare benefits haven't come by check in years. They come on cards now.

Haven't you ever been caught in the grocery store line behind the lady with 3 carts and 6 kids.

Just kidding but I'd draw some of the heat for you since you did for me. lol

I'm a conservative and public benefits advocate so I catch hell all the time for commenting on such things. I'm glad we have the welfare system for those in need. I would just like it if more used it as a hand up rather than a hand out.

As for the unemployment check, well those checks only come every other week and given the current unemployment rate and the state of our economy no one should be ashamed of getting one of those.

Soooo...I'd say anyone who falls into either of those two groups would be the last people wanting to check their mail daily. Bills, bills, bills and more stinking bills.

Hello, let me make this quite clear, we don't have a mail problem--- what we have is a mailman union problem. They work 10 to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and about half of the stuff they deliver is junk mail. Simple fix, jack up the junk mail like in the double cost range and this problem just corrects it's self.

And if it wasn't for me walking across the street to my mail box, me exercise routine would be gone

One other tid bit of useless information rattling around in my head, when you mail a package, chances are that the aircraft used to move it across the country will be UPS or FED-EX

Hello, I said that I was wrong in making that statement and apologized. You can drop it now. Oh, but you can't can you. You see apology and admitting wrong as weakness so let's just bury that oh so brilliant dagger in as deep as we can. You are the brave one, aren't you? Still in a great mood though, and I really do love our little chats.

I know...I have been very growly. I admit I only read the first line. But you have to admit, with our past it is not hard to just skip over and believe I am just getting the usual Angel work over.

Again another apology. Next time I will actually read what you write.

I am really sorry for this one.

But there in lies your issue. You never read, you have always jumped into SB mode and made assumptions.

You don't know me or anything about me therefore you have no clue what is the "usual Angel". You just listened to troublemakers and idle gossipers.

Those are bad habits you don't seem to want to over come. It's sad because you will miss out on a lot of great people and things that way.

No hard feelings.

Just sayin'......

Dang, you don't want anyone making a livable wage do you.

I read this story a few years back and if we all did it it would help the post office bottom line.

All you got to do is take every pre-paid envelope you get and fill it with other junk mail and place it in the out going mail.

It is a win win. My junk mail has went down after all the credit card places figured out what I am doing. and the post office makes money.

I do the same thing ..but I do it to return the junk mail from which it came..Every piece of junk mail that comes with an envelope.[ and some that doesn't].I tear off my address info and stuff it in the envelope and mail it..I do all my banking by transfer or direct deposit...Billing can be done online...Packages go ups...Our mail man doesn't deliver until 5 pm and usually sits and reads all the magazines first..I wasnt aware that they were union hourly..Thats explains a lot...
