Mike, I believe you ment 'dying'not 'buying' for our freedom I think would be more appropriate. Never the less I certainly agree with your sentiment. It's my choice thank goodness for the constitution that I have the ability to comment regardless of what people think.<quoted text>
John, I am sorry for your loss.
I am also sorry that people, myself included, get caught up in responding to snarky comments left by other users, and lose sight of the sad event.
We have people like your father to thank for buying us our freedom with their blood, sweat and tears.

I was very sad to hear about your father. He was a customer at my parents' dry cleaners for over 20 years and I got to know him over the past 10. I always enjoyed our conversations about life, golf, and Cal football. He often gave me encouragement and support during my time in law school and while studying for the bar, and he was there to congratulate me on the birth of my daughter.
I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family. My condolences. He will be missed.

To my cousins, Kate & John III, I am so very sorry for all of this. I am still trying to cope with this event and what it means to my father, your uncle. We are all the better for having known, shared time with and experienced your dad. He was a gentleman and a great guy. I loved his voice and his sharp sense of humor. No one can or could make my dad laugh as much as he did. Your dad was a tough father but I know he tried. And as you guys know, his role model (our grandfather) was tough too.
The employees at Kaiser San Rafael were my coworkers and my extended family for five years. They are rock solid, care a great deal about the Kaiser members they care for and continue to be dedicated every day. I thank them for their care they offered my uncle.
To the kind and thoughtful people who offered condolences to my family on this blog, I thank you so much.
To the amazing jackasses who know nothing about my family, my uncle or what kind of life he led & who deigned to speculate about my uncle's reasons for ending his life, I hope you find some kind of happiness in your bleak lives. Please find another place to blog about your petty grievances and political ideas...
