highway bypass

i was glad to see a highway bypass will be built it has not hurt ennis texas hopefully there will be new businesses that locate along this route . im sure it will take several years to complete. it is badly needed for this town and area.

I agree with you. Downtown is on the decline, anyway. Some business will close, some will relocate, new ones will open up, and life will go on.

You are so clueless. We have invested money (several investors) and I will not disclose our identities here, a lot of money, we all were under attack, the CM and CA made sure we couldn’t operate our businesses, at the same time they gave permits to 2 business owners to operate with no restrictions. The problem for us now is that We can’t sell our properties, the downtown area is “stunk”, too many regulations and restrictions.

Now the CM is forcing every restaurant owner to install a “grease trap”(20k-40k), this new regulation will only affect small business owners, some of this little businesses do not even have that amount in revenue. So again the CM and CA are totally destroying the small businesses. They could have made them recycle that oil (installing drums) instead of forcing the SBO to install expensive “grease traps”. These people (CM and CA) have no clue about running a business and obviously don’t care about the current economy because they will keep bleeding the “tax payer”.
