Just read the article. How hard can this test possibly be?
I don't think the problem is how hard the test is but more of how silly. The police have a job to do which is much less effectively done from behind a computer. I have confirmed that the test is geared for dispatchers who do FAR more on that system than regular police and detectives even have access to do. The police have never received any training in these areas because they don't and apparently cant use them. How can we throw such a fit over this "test" when the answers don't mean anything! They can't even do the things they are questioned about. But the administration LYING to the press, community and other employees is a huge problem. Was this really worth the city losing their drug unit? Was it worth the detectives being brought down to minimum staff with tons of work? Was it worth that girl getting fired for just trying to help out those officers? I heard that she was the best employee the city had!

I was also approached by an officer today who said he was from the police association. Told me that they are having a political forum next week at the college. Talked about needing change. Makes you think that we either have a problem at the top or every cop in down is some kind of dirty liar. I don't think the latter is even possible...

I posted a separate thread about the forum (a CDS article link) and then realized that you had mentioned it earlier but it was buried in another thread so worth bringing back up. I can't be there but I hope that it is well attended and that someone will take notes and report back here.

It sounds like the ones that need to be questioned are the top cops and the top manager. Oh yeah, the ones running for office too.
