Proposed injection wells in the Powell Field

OK, so Sunday's paper included notices re: Injection well permits a little ways outside of Corsicana. Is anyone concerned about this? If so, you have about 10 days to contact the RRC to express them. I know that FW has had a moratorium on injection wells for years now. They have one IW and there is talk of lifting the moratorium sometime soon. I am in no way an expert about this sort of thing but this being a town built on oil, I thought maybe someone with more knowledge would educate us all if anyone actually still reads here. Thanks in advance for any input!

there are already injection wells out that way, some get approved, so don't -- I know little about the process, but the higher the pressure involved in the injection seems to be more the concern -- and of course how close they are to residences.
