"The figures given by the City Manager were for the 5 remaining months of this year’s budget. She justified the increase due to costs savings, but the way I read this economy, the savings will be gone shortly when you calculate increase for gasoline and all that follows."

When will they stop?
They will have to raise taxes to pay the continuous increases.

They will stop when Vicky Prater becomes mayor and Dana Collins is elected to City Council. That's when they'll stop! I sat and listened to Vicky for almost 2 hours yesterday and I want that woman to be Corsicana's next mayor. She's strong, she's smart, she's determined and she's committed to the city and its people. She has great vision for the City of Corsicana. May I bring you a yard sign, MW?

The gas prices cant be figured yet. They will be bid on in september. I think it will be high. The price will be for the fiscal year. And the city uses mid grade fuel and use as much diesel as gas. 8000 gallons a month.

All I pay to Corsicana is ISD tax, nothing else. I am a citizen of Oak Valley from what I can tell. Must be an odd shaped town since next door and across the street are Retreat. All I can do is get others to vote for the people I think are best and believe me, I've been working on it!
