This is sad, it costs 15K to run the elections and only a couple thousand bodies ever turn out at the polls. The powers that be love apathy and if you don't vote, you're just helping them stay in power.

Maybe when Bob said "Don't Vote", was only talking to Liberals. Lol.

Ha. Kidding.
By the way, I know you're new here, so I'm going to let you in on a secret the locals know:
We don't really care what Bob thinks.

(But don't tell him. It would strike a blow to his overblown sense of self-importance.)

I had heard that before but I liked the editorial. If you can't make people care about voting, at least ridicule them a bit! And I want people to vote, dammit! The second article is more about $'s. If only 10% show up to vote that's $6/vote. If there's a runoff, and 10% show up again, that makes it $12/vote. That's pathetic.

Over the years, no opinion except what the city of Corsicana wanted ever hit the pages of the Sun. This has been a big contributer to voter apathy. Now with this new wave of anti-negativism they dont even want a local murder to hit the front page, because it might "scare" off a potential business. Fortunately, this group has not yet gained that much control, but they are trying by threatening to cut off advertising if they dont get their way. The whole gest of this election comes down to this: Is the current administration and their followers going to be allowed to gain thought control over the citizens of Corsicana, or are the citizens going to be allowed to THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

This is why I subscribe to the Navarro County Times and read the Sun online. The NCT seems to have more meat to it, especially for a smaller publication. Frankly, I'm very impressed with that little paper. I've never been much for the feel good columns put out by most larger publications. A waste of paper, IMO. I just want the facts and I read both papers to decide what they are.

If you really want to know the truth you can read the DAILY SUN. That way you have already heard all the lies first hand.

I think you misread what monkey said, Mr. Wasabi. He was saying that the sun prints the lies from what I can tell.:)
