Erie County schools seek ability to increase taxes

..........

Why not?, Look at that unemployment rate go down.

..........

.........

......

Employers only added 88,000 job in March from February, widely missing expectations of an increase of 200,000.
.
.
.

The unemployment rate dropped to 7.6% from 7.7%.

.....
.....

.....

FED BOND-BUYING BONANZA:

$85 BILLION A MONTH UNTIL UNEMPLOYMENT HITS 6.5%

The new plan will maintain the $40 billion a month of mortgage-backed bond buying it began in September while adding another $45 billion in Treasuries.

Where will the cash to bankroll the $85 billion-a-month bond-buying binge come from? The Fed plans to expand its $2.8 trillion balance sheet.

Freeze all wages, cut staff, cut administrators. Why should Erie Tax payers bail out the Erie School District because the school board let Barker run wild with OUR money The school board and administrators are a joke. Hey Tucker why don't you chair another committee that gave Barker his $250,000 salary. Only two directors voted against it, Herdzig, and at this time I can't remember the other one, the remaining seven voted to approve it.

Thank you Governor Tom Corbett. Thank you for not providing the state funding to all the school districts across the state. Thanks for pulling the plug on DPW funding and allowing the local school districts and counties to raise our taxes so you can tell Grover Norquest you never raised taxes. Please governor, do everyone a favor and fade away, do yourself a favor, you are in over your head. We all know and you know that you don't know how to govern. Just leave before you do more damage.

and now you know the real reason your property valuation was highly inflated during the last re-assessment.

it was a scam and still is. did anyone knock on your door to do the assessment? I didn't see anyone, how do you evaluate someones property without actually seeing it?

Feel free to pay more than your fair share. You'll even get a dreaded tax credit for it. You forgot to mention all the cops, and firefighters that need to be laid off.

They are all overpaid union thugs.

.

.

You never really own your home as long as it can be taken from you for not paying your property taxes.

.
.

YouÂ’re simply paying rent to the government under threat of eviction.

Harborcreek was publicly applauded for giving in to the cranky public's insistence that they not consolidate schools to save money, and as a result the district says they now have to raise taxes above the index. Nice going, people! You kept your "neighborhood schools" and now we have to pay even more in taxes to support the inefficient operation of outdated buildings.
