Our legal system is so messed up. Copenhefer is indisputably guilty. This crime was horrendous. Why are the people of Pennsylvania wasting so much money? Put this muderer to death and get it over with. I truly believe that Sally cries out for fairness.

Gimme a real sharp knife. I'll cut him open from his neck to his nuts. It won't cost anybody anything. I would never be convicted. It's a valuable public service. LOL

When David Copenhefer murdered Sally Weiner he thought that he committed the perfect crime, but he made several mistakes. The biggest mistake was leaving evidence on his computer. The police found most of the ransom note and a "to-do list" on the hard drive. Copenhefer deleted the files. He didn't know that the delete function doesn't really erase the file.

This crime was featured on Court TV's the "Forensic Files". The episode was named "The Stake-Out".

O.K. Sad but true; let him out and he will kill again. Look at the Van Sloot kid. How many rapists and murderers are released and not rehabilitated? How many convicts go back out and rape and kill someone's kid? You would not be so liberal if it happens to one of your loved ones. Justice is justice. We are never concerned about the victim or the victim's family.

Justice should be swift, not have tax payer money supporting someone in jail for 20-30 or more years. People change in that many years, you are punishing an old man and not the stupid young person who committed the crime of murder in the first place.

If we need jail space that bad, than legalize lesser crimes such as marijuana possession convictions so we can keep killers locked up in states that do not allow capital punishment.

According to you peoples logic, everybody who murders somebody needs to be killed right away.No need for the appeal process just kill them dead in the courtroom. Why not just have a gun range there it would save gas and time.I bet you lunatics would also support a day where it was not against the law to take another persons life.

Sad but true...You are sad...Who said nothing about due process to include a trial, forensic evidence to include DNA testing, witnesses, etc.

Without a shadow of a doubt, if convicted of the rape and killling of 6 year old Susie with forensic evidence of his DNA inside of her, I say STRING HIM UP...he is not worth the cost of the bullet.

Murder is murder know matter how you look at it...if you look at the definition of murder, it simply states....."the taking of another human's life".......so whomever flips that switch, puts that needle in the arm, or is a member of the firing squad, is just as much a murderer as is the person they are murdering......

You ever heard of due process....if the death penalty is warranted then justice is served. It is not murder, it is the justice system preventing a criminal to kill again and protect society. Liberals like you make our justice system a joke where nobody fears our laws.Even foreigners do not fear the repcussions of violating our immigration laws.
I say if you take a life then your organs will be taken from you to save a life. Life is ugly and choices have to be made to protect the innocent. These killers are getting due process unlike their victims.

I have to agree with those of you who say string him up or hang him! If penalties were more strict & were actually carried out in a timely manner, there would be a hell of a lot less killing committed. Criminals don't fear the system because they are protected by the system & who pays for it? We all do - & many people pay with their lives because these criminals are not penalized harshly enough!
& to those of you who are trying to protect these murderers, remember their next victim may be the one you love most!
