When upper management of the VA Healthcare System reach the age and have the years necessary for their retirement, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ANYBODY CAN DO TO THEM. All they have to do is sign their retirement papers and they are free to go to work for another Healthcare facility or medical equipment provided with no disciplinary record. They laugh at their superiors INCLUDING THE SECRETARY AND CONGRESS. In the VA, it's called the KMA (KISS MY A$$) club. They know they are untouchable and many hang on for years just for the ego trip their position and power provides them. At one time there were four Medical Center Directors that all had over 40 years of service. One was in such poor health that he had to be carried to and from his office by other VA employees, whenever he actually decided to come to work. His Medical Center just set and determiated around him until he finally DIED. Than it cost millions to deal with the problems he had ignored while he spent his allocated money for little "pet" projects.

Congress could stop this crap by passing a law that permits the temporary or even permanent garanshement of their retirement wages. That's the ONLY thing that would help keep these kind of people under control.

It's happened for years and will happen again until congress acts. Considering congress record, don't expect results.
