The officer hurt his knees when he fell down trying to cuff Jepkes, police reported,

Does this officer feel stupid that they had to list this. He bumped and skinned his knee. Come on, how embarrassing.

More power to you for busting two more druggies.

Just a couple of Beckys buddies struggling through the hard life of homelessness (and drug dealing and walking around with felony parole violations).

You know we need to do more for the Latino's and the Homeless. They are just so misunderstood. Take this crime map of San Jose for instance...

Many times the scenerio is much worse for police officers. Glad to hear he wasn't hurt more than the skinned knees. Two thumbs up to the cop doing his job!

I wonder how many minutes it took from walking Jepkes into the jail, to him walking back out of the jail, and asking me if I had any spare money, out on Pacific Ave.

It does sound silly in that perspective. But likewise, I'll have to commend the good work.

No long-term undercover work? No paid informant? The policeman just noticed the deal going down as he cruised by? Standing right next to the street, broad daylight? That's not a drug offense, that's called a "dumbass offense", and they should be locked up for their own protection.

For all of you that only know what took place because of what the sentinel reported, yeah ok what he did was wrong but none of you know him and cant call him a looser. And about the cop that got injuries. Clyde was sittin on the curb and went to adjust his pants abd instead of the cop saying something he jumped on him from behind so I dont feel bad for the cop at all. Ur going to tell me that none of u have broken the law big or small. Dont judge people that you dont know. I know him and he is a great man that made a very big mistake.

first of your right he wasnt down there that long because I got him out. And for you to say that he was asking you for money after he got out of jail is wrong because I picked him up and was at his house with him.

You probably picked him up and went to your stop sign to spear change everybody that came by so you could buy more drugs for a higher class source.

You do dirtbag activities you get dirty. Take the heat.

This is a joke, right?.... the grammar cop misspelling grammar and ommitting a necessary comma.....CLASSIC!
Regarding the story, this cop is LAME. He is no hero... just leave them be. More of our tax dollars wasted on prosecuting these victimless crimes. Santa Cruz cops are too chicken sh-i-t to do something that might actually protect citizens, oh....say, like fighting the ubiquitous gang presence in this county? But that might involve some dangerous stuff so lets just bust these petty drug crimes. Lame.

you have a point, and it sure is high time to go after the gang punks full blast. This said, the job that the cop did was fine with me. He did what he is paid to do. He didn't just drive by, which he could have easily done.

How would you like a few of these deals going on in front of your house each day? Do you have kids, do they also come and go from you house during the day? Do you want them exposed to this in any manner?

You don't seem to find little drug deals along the way very bothersome. I do. I think it is a sad ugly peace of life right in my face. It is the foundation of many many bad things. I'm glad the cop did what he did.

Maybe you are part of the problem, do you buy drugs on the street?
