My daughter's personal bag was stolen from her vehicle while she was carrying groceries into her home. Upon noticing the bag was taken, she immediately looked around and noticed a teenager acting suspiciously; he hid something from her and ran into his home. My daughter's intuition told her the gangbanger teen took her bag. She nocked on the teen's door and his mother answered. My daughter said to her "my bag was stolen from my car and I believe your kid took it." According to my daughter, the mother did not appear surprised at the accusation and proceedd to ask her son where was the bag located. Of course, he thug denied any wrong doing.
A few days later, the teen's mother came to my daughter's home with bag in hand. The mother stated to my daughter that she was right. Her son had possesion of the bag and was seen wearing an unknown pair of eye glasses; they were my daughter's. The mother apologized, returned the bag, and asked to call the police and press charges on her son. In the bag was a bag of marijuana. According to the mother, her son used my daughter's money to purchase the drug. When the police arrived, the officer said to my daughter that there was nothing they could do. No arrest could be made because of the gangbanger's underage. The officer said to my daughter to "forget about it." The contents of the bag held approximately a combination of $300 in cash and valueable items, personal belongings, and my daughter's ID card.
Now, this thug is gloating to his gangbanger friends how he got away with commiting a crime, he is intimidating my daughter by hanging out with his thug friends around my kid's home, they are spitting on her vehicle, mocking her, and looking over her fence into her property.
What is this gangbanger going to to next when he has it in his head that he is untouchable? When the police claim that they need for witnesses to come forward and report a crime, remember that "there is nothing that can be done" because the criminal is underage.
