Are all the "immigrant families" legal? Probably not. So, the parents break the law by entering the country illegally and then the children born here, now US citizens, get this kind of help, while the children of parents legally here are left to fend for themselves. I bet they'd like to get into schools like Stanford too.

Why are people angry at the truth on this story?

If the children this lady helps are U.S. citizens, I have nothing but the highest praise for her.

But folks....helping those who are here illegally is making the problem worse.

I'm sorry for those children who are clever and even brilliant who would not have this opportunity otherwise.

BUT...by putting time and effort into those who do not warrant this level of support...and taking it away from those who have the same qualities AND are legal citizens is just plain wrong.

It is NOT racist. It is NOT mean. It IS the TRUTH.

It reminds me of all the well-meaning people who volunteer their time and money to organizations that build homes for the poor in Ka-Bleak-A-Stan.

Why not build houses for the poor right here in the United States?

Want to feed hungry kids? Start here in the U.S.A.

I applaud those who have a good heart and a genuine desire to help those less fortunate. I myself donate very generously to a variety of organizations that help people here in the United States.

And yes, I know many of the organizations I support also provide for those border burglars who should not be here. I also know it is not their main focus.

I have nothing against those who wish to help elevate others...but may we please not glorify the process of advancing the needs of those who are in our country illegally over the needs of those who are.

If this lady only helps those " immigrant " families who are here legally...then she has not only my sincere apology for suggesting otherwise, she also has my admiration.

My family immigrated here to the United States a few hundred years ago. They stood in line, filled out their paperwork, and then assimilated into this great country.

Thanks great-great-great-great Grandpa and Grandma.
