Not that I think you'll change. Well, time for me to get off this Forum, put on my face nd dress. I want to go to that Forum at Temple Albert this morning. I wonder if all three will show up. Marty snubbed the last Forum I attended. Bet he'll come to this one though.
Enjoy watching the Big Lair Marty BS his way through the questions, IF he shows up.

According to the scriptures you claim to know and follow we will all be judged by God and God alone not you. Your little turn or burn rant exposes you as self righteous, judgemental Pharisee and nothing more. You like to paraphrase Jesus but you seem to have forgotten that he also said that most people like you who rush to him like he was your best buddy would be hearing these words...
"I never knew you". The scriptures say very little about Hell so don't be so sure people are alone there. You might be sharing a pew in Hell with the same people you condemn.
You have blown a gasket without cause. I DID NOT JUDGE ANYONE. I responded to a post from a person who said he was looking forward to partying in Hell with all his friends. The Bible says enough about Hell that I wanted him to take a second look at really wanting to go there.
The Bible says that after the judgment those that rejected JESUS would be cast into utter darkness where there will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. JESUS said it is a place of torments. HE said it was originally made for Satan and his demons. HE said the unquenchable fires will burn for eternity. Even demons begged HIM "don't send us to the PIT before our time". Satan knows his fate. Demons know their fate. Man is the only FOOL who doesn't believe in HELL.

I am not one that believes in the scripture but I do believe there is a hell and that is where I will end up one of these years.
Just not sure how my ashes will get there since they will be spread out over the ocean.
I'l log on once there and tell you how much fun it is, oh and how hot too!
Darn can I take an Air Conditioner with me? I don't like heat.
This is a hysterical and funny post. TODAY THAT IS. I would like to know how funny it is to you in 100 years.

As for your concerns about your ashes. JESUS taught that we'd all get new bodys. The new bodys are too last for all eternity. That could be bad or good. I guess it depends on where that body is at for all of eternity.

Romero was the only on interrupted during his comments by applause. When he said he disagreed with the moratorium on impact fees that the Council just passed. Of Course, Marty and Berry are in favor...

The other two called him out on having added a lot of city employees, and his saying the number hasn't grown. They reminded him that we have no City water dept. any more, with the establishment of the Water Utility, we lost all those employees, and we lost some more with the county now running the jail, so he really did add more in other departments, probably patronage, pay to play jobs.

And they got him on taxes not really having gone down, I think their other point was. So he was asked if he wanted to rebut them, and he said, "well, I've got Mr. Berry on my right, and Mr. Romero on my left, and I'm Marty in the middle." A non-answer answer.

It was disgusting to hear him thank the Temple or the Federation, perhaps it was, for making him a Lion of Judah. I guess he gave a lot of money.

This is a hysterical and funny post. TODAY THAT IS. I would like to know how funny it is to you in 100 years.
----------
In 100 years from now neither of us will be alive so no big deal, go ahead and laugh about it today.
----------
As for your concerns about your ashes. JESUS taught that we'd all get new bodys. The new bodys are too last for all eternity. That could be bad or good. I guess it depends on where that body is at for all of eternity.
----------
Sorry but Jesus did not teach me I'd get a new body, he taught only those that chose to follow his beliefs and not all do so.
I am of the belief we have one life, when you die regardless of how or when that's it, your gone.
I do not believe in reincarnation or afterlife or whatever you want to call it, some do and some don't.
As for eternity, correct but as I said when you die there is your eternity, period.
Those that want to believe in an afterlife are free to do so and those that don't are free to have their beliefs also.
You cannot force your book upon those who do not want it, besides if we were to discuss books then I would have to say mine came first as I am of the Faith of the Old Testament.
However I chose a long time ago to put it aside and let it gather the dust of ages.

I am very sorry that you've made this your choice. I've never forced my Bible on anyone. It is impossible to do. I do encourage everyone to give it a look. I for one love the Old Testament as much as the New Testament. For therein LIFE can also be found.

True you have not tried to force your beliefs on me, there has been in the past a few threads that sort of come off that way.

No need to feel sorry for me, I made that choice just as I did with my kids when they were young, they could chose my religion or my wife's as long they chose and learned one.

When they became adults then they could chose to continue with their choice, change or not believe or practice as I have but never would I force my beliefs onto them.

Nothing wrong with religion at all unless it is one of those odd ball types like Tom Cruise belongs to or one of those other oddity type.

Your choices are of course your own. Although ours differ I would hope to have the common courtesy not to judge or belittle your or anyone elses choices for that matter.

We do differ on how we dealt with our children though. I am so convinced that the Bible is true, that I've forced my kids to read and study it.(While under my roof). I also begged them to choose JESUS over Satan in forming life relationships. I feel blessed that both my kids have chosen JESUS on their own. Some of the extra benifits have been that in 38 years I've never had to get them out of jail. I've never faced the drinking and drug drama that some familys face. Some might argue I've lived a dull life. Not so. It's been a great life. Married 40 years to the same love of my life. For the last 10 years my son has been signing my pay checks. If I'm sick or lazy or even fishing, he and my beautiful daughter-in law still put a nice check in my box at work. I could be off the mark, but I think choosing JESUS had a part in this great life I've had. Thanks for listening to an old man ramble.

OLD man, no way and all the more so if you only have 40 years of being married, I got you beat by 4 years kid..

Not sure if you understood what I meant about our kids when young, they had to learn religion, whether it was mine or my wife's.

As for Satan, where in the Old Testament does it say that the Jewish religion believes on Satan?

Did I belittle you or another here based on their religious choice? if so then I would owe that person an apology.

I did say that some religions like the one Tom Cruse belongs to I don't consider a main or bona fida religion and I could name a few others too but I don't consider that belittling him or others, just voicing my opinion on a religion that wants all your money and belongings which is one of the tings that one does.

We do not have to see eye to eye on things as long as we can agree to disagree and still understand each others side of an issue.

It is my pleasure to joust a little bit with you and have no hard feelings. I may be just a pup if compaired to you, but I'm a bald headed pup no less.

As for Satan. Isaiah the prophet said " How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above Gods". Satan said "I will be like the Most High". God said "Yet you shell be brought down to Sheol, the lowest depths of the Pit". "Those who see you will gaze at you and say, is this the one who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the earth a wilderness and destroyed cities, you are now like a corps trodden under foot".

So there is what I think the Jews have knowledge of. I know they love the first five books and I think they trust Isaiah one of the Major Prophets. I know Jews read Isaiah during JESUS time.

Look forward to hearing from you.

First things first here, how I wish I was a true baldy, sigh! Won't have the bald shaved look but do keep it cut close so the sun can hit it.

As I said earlier I have not read the Old book in many a year and have not gone to Temple in as many years also. Partly due to my hearing and not hearing a word said, not an excuse but picture those in church even up close that have a high percentage of hearing lost trying to hear what is said, cannot be done.

I should say if you have tone deafness which a hearing aid does nothing for unless you believe all those blood sucking ads about how hearing aids can help. The other two hearing losses yes they help.

That said I am not free to rebuttle your quote from the Bible, I take your word for what is said and yes us Jews as you said is pretty much correct.

Sorry no jousting this time and that is just no fun, no jousting that is!

Hey wait a second, maybe we could compare which books weigh more!

If you get a chance to take a spin through the Bible again, the words I shared in my last post were from the 14th Chapter of Isaiah, starting at the 12th verse. If I had anything wrong, it was because of my spelling. I tried to copy it word for word. Good evening to you.

Thunderbolt, typo's here are allowed so don't worry about a misspelled work here and there.

To early for my brain to function as it is suppose to and to much work to get done today so might not be back here till evening.

Enjoy your day.

I don't get what you mean here but I am adamantly against abortion. Check out the other thread with abortion as the topic. I have been fighting it off and on alone. Where have you been?

But here is a little taste.

37. "The anti-abortionists distort the facts and resort to emotionalism to deceive the public."

37a. The facts themselves make abortion an emotional issue.

37b. It is not the prolife position but the prochoice position that relies on emotionalism more than truth and logic.

37c. The prolife position is based on documented facts and empirical evidence, which many prochoice advocates ignore or distort.

37d. The prochoice movement consistently caricatures and misrepresents prolifers and their agenda.

37e. The prochoice movement, from its beginnings, has lied to and exploited women, including the "Roe" of Roe v. Wade and the "Doe" of Doe v. Bolton.

The whole idea of abortion is completly against God, I commend the Catholic Church of sticking to what is right in this area.

The lies that the pro-deathers put out to murder the babies for "choice" are dispicable. Sin really knows no bounds.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Scorpio

Let the past stay in the past for now. Even though you may have fond memories of intense experiences, the Virgo Moon sees to it that you have virtually no desire to go there again just yet. This is your opportunity to show others what you can do in a more civilised environment. Don't try to shout down someone who is rude enough to interrupt. As unlikely as it may seem, the softest voice has the biggest chance of being heard today.
