I don't think they are closing all of them . The ready-mart chevrons I use in my area of town are only changing brands of gasoline that they sell..

probably name change and fuel brand , but the ones on east side seem to still operate under new R/M logo

Check out the "New...Change is Coming" signs on some of those Redi-Marts. And now the new station names that have taken over. Can't remember the moniker off-hand as I won't use their gas.
