So I heard an Albuquerque rumor last week that I am curious if anyone else is hearing it.
The story goes:
Richard Berry, Kiki Saavedra and Kiki's son are having lunch a couple weeks ago. Richard tells Kiki that he may not be running for re-election of Mayor because he has a very high approval rating right now and he does not want to have the rating drop by getting into the race against Dinelli, who just announced he is running. Dinelli in known for being a strong lawyer in the courtroom and seldom if ever lost cases when he was Deputy Director of the Legal Department. There are numerous issues about RJ Berrys term that are very bad that if brought into the lime light will affect his rating dramatically. Richard believes it would be best to take the high road and keep his high approval rating before all of the attacks from the opponets start so that he can run for a Congressional seat in the near future. End of story.
I had heard that Richard Berry was advised by Kiki Saavedra to run for Mayor to begin with last time stating he could not beat Marty but would get good name recognition to prep him for his next race.
What have you heard and why isn't Richard announcing?

He's gonna run and probably loose. Mr Marty had a high rating too before he lost miserably. Difference is Marty did something for ABQ for 8 yrs vs feeding baby zoo animals and shakin hands. lol
In a few weeks we will all know who's running and let the race begin!

You got to be joking.... Marty (Mayor for life) was such a loser and I hope he never wins anything again...

Don't pay this troll any attention. He is the same twerp posting to himself using different screen names. Probably has a axe to grind with the Mayor because he got fired from his city job for looking at Internet porn on his computer instead of working.

Troll, twerp, fired, porn, wow you really nailed me!
You only left out retired and educated. I see you have a well documented 11,360 comments of B.S. where you comment on information you know nothing about.
Ask yourself this, what major accomplishment has Berry done for the City in over 3 years?

Silence, I know.

Although most of us didn't care for Marty's personality the answers are a long long list. The San Juan Water Project alone is more than Berry could ever accomplish. I do agree with Xena 54, I don't believe Marty will ever win another race.

I doubt he is as educated as you think nor retired, fired from his job maybe but not retired. Probably denied benefits for the reason he was fired too so he's fighting back.

A former drunk fireman maybe.

Good guesses, or maybe a MDC guard who tried to get a prisoner to fullfill his homoerotic fantasies. Could just be a Chavez crony, not qualified for the job he held, who got canned when Berry came in.

Lol, why am I here? The people commenting on this site can't even stay on track with the issue at hand and would rather fantasize about me. You win as I have better things to do.

Still no word on Berry running. He did dodge the protesters last week who filled the 11th floor and he instead went to the 5th floor. People meeting with him said he was agitated and could not stay focused. Looks like Mr. Berry has a weakness that has now been exposed. Expect many more protests to come and the truth about his lay low and do nothing for high approval ratings plan to be exposed.
Does anyone remeber how to make good jelly? You have to crush the Berries!

I don't think that any of us really wanted to know about your inferior size problem. But, since you raised the issue, your little problem will be compounded by severe flaccidity when Mayor Berry wins re-election in a landslide.

I do like Mayor Berry's policy of checking the immigration status of all persons arrested in Albuquerque. I'm not up to date on how all that's working out but I do like the policy and will most likely vote for him if he decides to run again.

Lol, if that's all you got you're really lame.

As for Berry's keeping the $$$, I don't agree with it at all, however when all is considered I'll still vote for him next election as he's the best candidate out there. And so far the legal system has not disagreed with him retaining those donations, but it's still cheezy IMO.

The diff between you and I is I can disagree w/ a candidate and still vote for them because I know there will never be one whom I'll agree 100% with.

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
