Long live the Bolo Tie! The straight tie reminds me of a noose.

The straight tie reminds me of the totalitarians who ware it.

What? you don't want to wear the bolo? everybody wears the bolo. Your not a true New Mexican if you don't wear a bolo.
This is as ridiculous as the wearing a flag pin that the republicans always say you not American unless you wear the pin.

Who cares, get some REAL work done you overpaid creeps. Get off your collective azzes. The session is like vacation for most of these sandbaggers. Late nights at Rio Chama and The presidential suite at the Eldorado. The booze tab for this session could balance the budget. NM needs to clean house and start over. Politicians are slugs.

Well! Since you put it that way, who could disagree.

All the old-school codgers who think that a cloth tie is the determinng feature of a "professional look" are as wrong as they are outdated... Business casual has shown that one can look even more professional WITHOUT a cloth tie, if the entire package is done properly... How many fat, ugly, stuffed business suits have you seen with a cloth tie? My point exactly....

The bolo tie should be the least of their worries. The legislators should get to work on the real problems of the state.

The Legislators are not paid for their services. They only receive per diem at a rate that in no way will pay for their stay in Santa Fe. Most of these people do work very hard for us and take their positions very seriously. Sometimes they need a stress releaver such as this "Bolo tie" incident. Don't group them all together into the "vacation set". Some are, but most are not.

Regardless of their 'pay,' they're still wasting time and taxpayer money by debating this meaningless, petty, vapid, and superficial issue.

I have two words for our legislators 'Grow Up.'

How's that budget deficit coming? How's the investigation into widespread corruption going?

It's still time to work, forget the bolo tie, who cares what you wear, just do the job you are attending to do, or give up your space for somebody that will. This is a long session....work on the NM issues, we have problems that need addressing and need resolutions, don't waste time on ridiculous stuff.
