Seems that public unions are upset over the potential loss of their more "cadillac" health insurance. Seems that someone with smarts decided that people with expensive plans aren't sensitive to the cost of care....Sidebar: Interesting that the plannee is not the one who sets the charges, coding and other regulations and reimbursement for any stay in the hospital or test. Sensitive to cost of health care. Now that is funny.

So, the cure for insensitivity is to "tax the rich" game...a tax will be added to the expensive plans as the punishment. Therefore, some municipalities, to avoid the tax on the plans they negotiated with the unions, want to switch to less expensive plans.

Speaking of government: Health Care Problem for Lawmakers and staff is solved. OPM will issue a new regulation and allow the federal government to still help pay the cost of premiums on the exchanges for congressional employees. The mess was caused because the carefully crafted law had failed to mention employer contributions.

And the employer mandate, as we all now have learned,
is not going to be enforced for a year. Individuals, though, will be penalized and the law enforced for them. Just like Republicans to give big business a pass and screw the individual and sole proprietor.

It is very simple - if you are not getting a handout from the government you are paying for those who are.

Anyone who thinks that Obamacare or a single payer system will rid the world of heath care rationing should Google the term QALY to see how England's single payer system works.

So far all the little hidden things our illustrious informed congress failed to take note of are coming to light, and not in a good one either. Another half-baked liberal idea, that's what Obamacare is.

"Congress wins relief on Obamacare health plan subsidies"

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/08/07/us-... ?

What was good enough for the public is not good enough for our congresscritters and their employees. They would lose large and generous coverage under their Federal Employee Health Benefits Program.
Federal contributions toward their health plans cover about 75% of the premium costs.

Seems that the individual will not get the waivers and exemptions other will get. Good to know that their is separation of public and government.

I do not like this Uncle Sam,
I do not like his health care scam.

I do not like these dirty crooks,
or how they lie and cook the books.

I do not like when Congress steals,
I do not like their secret deals.

I do not like this spending spree,
I'm smart... I know that nothing's free.

I do not like his smug replies,
when we complain about his lies.

I do not like this kind of hope,
I do not like it, nope, nope, nope.

ObamaCare designed to fail? Say,
"No". Pave the way for single payer? Say, "No".

"When then asked by panelist Steve Sebelius whether he meant ultimately the country would have to have a health care system that abandoned insurance as the means of accessing it, Reid said:“Yes, yes. Absolutely, yes.”
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/harry-rei... #

Obviously Harry Reid is a small player and does not speak for the Administration. Hard to believe.

"Reid said he thinks the country has to “work our way past” insurance-based health care during a Friday night appearance on Vegas PBS’ program “Nevada Week in Review.”

“What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever,” Reid said."

And the camel has its nose under the tent. And this is what we want. The government controlling over 20% of our economy and care.

" CNSNews.com )– Major health insurance companies--Blue Cross, Aetna, United, Humana--have decided not to participate in various states in the Obamacare health-insurance exchanges that will be the only place Americans will be able to buy a health insurance plan using the federal subsidies authorized under the Obamacare law." - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/blue-cross-ae...

Of course Reid would say this, because his HC is paid for and NOT part of the Obamacare the rest of the public is subjected to.

"...work forever." Neither will he last forever, and as long as he get reelected he could care less. Short term goal for someone ready for the big dirt nap and the entitlement crowd.

Doubtless Obamacare will work for some, just not for most.

"A Limit on Consumer Costs Is Delayed in Health Care Law" (NYT 8/12/2013)

No bait and switch. Now we find that there is a delay until 2015 of a major consumer protection aspect of the law which would limit how much people may spend on their own health care. There was a limit on out-of-pocket expenses (co-pays, deductibles etc.), but the feds have ..."granted a one-year grace period to some insurers, allowing them to set higher limits, or no limit at all on some costs, in 2014".
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/13/us/a-limit-... ;

You have to love how all this just keeps coming in...

Wow, I hadn't realized they had planned limits. Even if they were put in place, how on earth is the average single insured, particularly here, going to be able to pay up to $6,350 in-out-of pocket expenses. I suppose the family limit of $12,700 might benefit those with many children. For a family like us, who already pay over $15k for our portion of insurance, still could not afford medical care. So much for helping the middle class!

Obamacare is much more about garnering votes than it is health care. This is just another manifestation of that and what happens when politicians don't do the jobs they are paid to do, reading and understanding the plan.

And just before the 2016 elections there will be a huge discovery about other aspects that will get them votes, then after the election they will all fizzle again because the truth will be vetted, but by then the damage is already done - again. Really, is anyone surprised about a delay and serious problems with this massive white elephant? Every couple weeks a new flaw is discovered.

I think Obama never expected it to pass, and when the entitlement votes came in and it did he was surprised, now he's got to shit or get off the pot.

It is a literal page turner...I think this is the best way to find out what the bill was that we passed. And love the cliche that it will need some tweaking.
