I heard that. Took a hot shower & put on a sweat shirt. Then brought the kindling & a small load of firewood around in case I get colder.

We have snow on the ground and continuing flurries this morn. It's a lovely day for a mountain bike ride and then to watch the Cowpies get upset by the Packers. The Saints will slaughter the Rams and put them out of their Missouri.

Good news on the snow, maybe the ski resorts will be able to open next week!!!

I have been ranting on channel 2, our local Fox affiliate, for airing the Vikings/Lions then the Cowgirl/Porker games today. I did the same thing last week when they did not air the Saints/Panther game and the email I got from KASA was yes, they are our local Fox affiliate but they get their feed from Denver so they air whatever game Denver decides to air. What a load of cowpies!

I have been doing the same with the other networks too! Why are they airing games between a bunch of teams that are losers instead of airing the games of the other undefeated team in the NFL, the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!!!!

lol...The Misery Rams, I like that<G>. I have live feed on this 'puter so I will be able to catch the game later. I have a few things to do this morning but I will catch up with ya'll this evening.

Good afternoon all! Cool and windy down here. Had a couple small showers yesterday morning and that was it. I know you guys wanted snow, but I'm glad you didn't as the husband is driving to Santa Fe as we speak for a day of meetings tomorrow. The predicted 17 degrees tonight up there is enough winter weather for us desert rats!

Looking forward to watching the Colts vs. Patriots game tonight. First strong opponent in awhile, so we will have to see how they do.

Well, I've got a freelance job in so I'll take advantage of the husband gone and kids at work to get a good bit of it done. You guys stay warm and have a great rest of the day!

How about them Who Dats, the 'Aints, dem boys, the New Orleans Saints!! 9 and 0 baby!!

The Broncettes looked like a junior college team and the Pukesburg Steelers didn't look much better. I am now watching the Green Bay Porkers keep the Romeo on his butt, his widdle jersey is already dirty!! lol.....

The crowning moment for today would be if the Patriots can beat the Colts tonight. Dem Pats be looking pretty tough the last few games! Can anyone say only one undefeated team in the NFL?

If the Pats win tonight you guys will probably find me intolerable lol... I went through the year of the paper grocery bag over the head thing. I survived the year of "The 'Aints". I have listened to the little snickers behind my back because I always believed in my team and never said a thing. But, it looks like this will be my year to crow! And believe me boys and girls, if the Saints keep on marching on like they have this year you will hear me cocka-doodle-dooing all the way to the big city!!!!

Niceties first Whiskey--Congrats on the Saints winning again.

HOWEVER, the second part is fighting words. Boo-hiss on Patriots and go Peyton Manning!

But the Saints owner Thomas(?) Benson is having a good year. He also pretty much financed the new football program at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio (his money paid the start up costs and for the new stadium) and they went 5-5 for their first season, just completed last week! The Bensons are on a roll.

I'm glad you can take off your paper bag this year, Whisky, and hopefully for many years to come!

I'll take that paper bag. After watching my Seahawks pathetic performance against the Cards, I think I need one...

Yo - OO! I'm working on a most amusing stamp collection project involving US revenue stamps. I'm collecting them from during the Civil War and a few years after that have legible dates on them, condition unimportant. The intent is to collect as many cheap ones as possible, then match dates with important historical events from that time period. Just a fun project to fiddle with.

It was so nice that the Cowpies got upset by the Packers, just like I predicted in post #6054.

I'm no saint, but dem Saints are looking good, Whisky.

Too bad Broncos are self destructing.

Go Vikings!

I don't really care for either the Pats or Colts, so they can beat themselves senseless for all I care.

Did anyone see the Patriots/Colts game? How does Peyton Manning do it? 35-34 last minute of the game to pull it out. Of course what was the Patriot coach thinking in going for a 4th and 2 with Peyton Manning as the opposing quarterback.

Next worry--when is the Colts's luck going to run out?

Cool project, CD. It's been so long since I've looked at my collection, I can't remember what if any revenue stamps I have. I think I have some. I do collect bank checks from a series of banks owned by a family in Arizona, and when I buy them on ebay, stamp collectors are interested in the early ones as the revenue stamp is printed into the check design. Ever seen any of those?

I've gotten a couple of my checks from ericjackson.com and they were good to work with. I know they had Arizona revenue stamps (I found them during one search), so if you haven't already, you might check them out.

Wolf Creek is 100% open and got 30 inches of new snow from the storm this weekend. We may just have to provide our Thanksgiving to the Snow Goddess up there.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aquarius

Unfortunately it won't take much to get your wires crossed, especially if you're trying to keep track of your Christmas preparations. It's hard to work out what still needs to be done. A member of the family is away with the fairies or is being completely fanciful. It's a pest because that sort of behavior can make you feel anxious and harassed.
