Another attempt by a conservative media minion to smear the Justice Department.

Somebody better smear the hell out of them.
They have become a bunch of jackbooted thugs, a territory that used to belong exclusively to the BATFE

But introducing guns into the underground economy and then tracking them has been a long-standing police tactic, not to mention used extensively under W, who also trained the Zetas under the idea that the training would be used to defeat the drug cartels. What happened was it backfired, the Zetas now control most of Northern Mexico, a ranch in Texas on American soil, and peddle drugs under and with Sur 13 to northern New Mexico with Tijerina's followers. It was the single biggest blowup we have ever had.

Training foreign nationals is not normal until recently for American forces. And nwo that training is being used to do the majority of drug deaths on both sides of the border.

Given the above, I agree with Willthewisp, it's a distraction, making normal results seem like bad leadership. Most people do not understand military and police tactics, and the Repubs are exploiting all of that, too.

All officials in the government take an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Operation F&F violated that oath and therefore the personnel who did are criminals. The end does not justify the means as the corrupt and perverted progressives in the government believe. Holder lied to Congress and the BATFE is covering up a crime of their own commission.

BTW, there is no way you can track those guns into Mexico. They don't coordinate with the feds. And by the time they are found they have done their damage. They just let them walk, hoping to find them at the scene of a crime. They did not follow them. They let them go.

It is obvious that people don't know what this is about. Read the stories? Guess not.

Since Holder knew about F&F (even though he lied) and could have stopped it but failed to do so he and the whole Justice/BATFE chain of command should be charged with accessory to murder.

If this was true, then every single case of entrapment and smuggling we break open would result in a conviction on the part of the government.

You obviously don't know the story and/or haven't followed the story. And your response makes that obvious. Knee jerk response and standard lines. There was no entrapment. There was no smuggling. What part of, "They Let The Guns Walk", with nothing to do but wait to see if they showed up at some crime scene. They let suspicious and reported attempts at sales go through. They couldn't trace them. The Mexican government didn't even know that BATF was letting guns walk into Mexico. They had a different agenda and it has blown up in their face. Get your facts and then come back to the table. Unless you want to graffiti this thread with the standard Holder denials and deflections.

silly one. This is a standard risky practice to get at the crime bosses (rather than the mules) under the gunrunner program that has been going on for years. You want to deflect and turn it into something personal or even sillier as part of a conspiracy to "take yer guns". Obviously if Holder had come in and said let's review this program, you'd be bitching about him tying the hands of law enforcement.

Changing locations doesn't seem to increase the intelligence quotient. There was no "gunrunner program". "Gunwalking" And I am talking specifically about "Fast and Furious". Did you go to Wikipedia?:) Fast and Furious is recent. And if you talk about years (like 4-5) for "gunwalking" schemes, it is okay. FFL's were asked to let guns walk on purpose even when they protested. They were pressured to go a long with a scheme that even Holder denied he knew about. Are you sure you know what your are talking about? No. Seems like you think this is a regular above board and well executed sting operation. Not. ATF is more like a convenience store. Do you really think the cartels place orders for their weapons in Ed' Sporting Good store in Reno? Try fully auto at Ed's. They use arms dealers. Army stuff. The real deal. Cases of ammo.

Seems that we can't cite a congressional hearing. Too biased. Can't cite the NRA for the same obvious reasons. How about Chuck Schumer or Diane Feinstein or Eric Holder. Now that is fair and balanced. And then I came across an article in that right wing media outlet CBS.

CBS actually states that it seems that the covert "Fast and Furious" was actually to gather enough info to argue for new gun sale rules and regulations in the US. Hard to believe. Thousands of weapons were put into Mexico and the Mexican government and authorities were never informed.

You are correct, you's does not. You're dismissed.

An operation of the sort supposedly intended is one thing, THIS operation as it played out is another! Did anyne tell Holder that ignorance is no excuse, something his ilk always ells us?

I'm surprised that Mexico does not indite Holder for all the murders those guns have caused in Mexico. This was a poorly thought out, poorly executed, grandstand play by Obama and his gun grabbers to try to convince the US and Mexico that US gun purchase and ownership is bad. It backfired and now the Justice/BATFE are lying through their teeth to keep from being charged with a huge crime against the US and Mexico. I'm surprised that the family of the slain BP agent has not filed suit against the whole group. Fast and Furious is just one of many schemes the administration has cooked up which will bite them in the butt.

That is what is frightening. After November the gloves will be off with Obama winning reelection. The statists just love it.
