Review: Whiskey River

At WR the other night, a friend of our's was being goofy and dancing around by himself on the dance floor. He was suddenly roughly and forcibly removed by a bouncer. He was kicked out of the bar. Afterwards, our friend was talking to one of the absurd amount of bouncers standing around outside like they are something big, and he was trying to straighten it out, explaining our friend meant no harm and was just being goofy, when another bouncer approached him from behind, prepared to grab him. Someone shouted out a warning, and the approaching bouncer fell back and dropped his arms. A few seconds later, the bouncer our friend was TALKING TO signaled his little douche bag fellow bouncer, who snuck up behind my friend, grabbed him, disabled his arms and pulled him off balance. The douche bag bouncer he was talking to then punched him repeatedly in the face. After the cops got there, they were going to arrest our friend and after realizing what happened, the seasoned cop there would not because she said our friend was NOT at fault, he was assaulted by the bouncer. Some witnesses told the police what happened. The little shifty, shady assistant manager stepped between some witnesses and the police and told them to be quiet and say nothing, and when they wouldn't, he made them all leave the premises. A few other bystanders said they wanted to say something because our friend had clearly just been assaulted, by they didn't want to get kicked out as well (chickens). Needless to say, none of us will be going there until some major changes are made, and nor will many other people. Pass it on.

I was there one night when all of a sudden a fight broke out behind us. I noticed it was not a fight just about 3 bouncers beating the shit out of one guy. Two of them had this guy pinned on the floor as the third continually pounded this guy in the face. I graded the guy off after a while and then they proceeded to come after me. I was just pulling this guy off the defenseless dude getting his face smashed in. They all think they are big shit but wait till they get caught without their little bouncer gang. I used to love that place but it has gone to shit. Where are the good ole Stetsons days.

I agree! It's crap now. Stetsons was the best.
