I say all of them. None of them show anything worth watching. The news is no longer news..it is more of a local tabloid sector.

I can't receive kuqi fox since they went to the new channel last week. I heard a commercial on the radio about them and they said that they are locally owned and operated. I guess thet's why the signal went to hell. Maybe the fox network will shape them up before they have zero watchers left.

I will agree with you moby that there is very little watching on any of the stations. I think they are pushing satellite and cable tv but if you think about it you can buy maybe 300 dollars worth of dvd's and that will cover you for what they show on those stations. Pretty Woman, an Officer and a Gentlemen, Ghost. The same old movies over and over and over and over. It is not worth what they charge.

moby did you know that they can track your television viewing using cable, satellite and TiVo has big time privacy problems? TiVo can phone home and tell them what you have been watching and how many times. They did this to calculate the most replayed commercials during the Super Bowel. It is frightening. The new digital television DTV will allow more stations in the bandwidth and it will also allow interactive television. Anytime you use the term interactive that means there are ways that they can track what you are watching. Now I know why the good old government wants to give us discount coupons for DTV converters. The new law on DTV made it illegal to transport televisions that did not have DTV tuners across state lines after a given date.

I think big brother is here today with Darpa's Internet and DTV they have it all covered. moby you are right it is soon getting to be time to give up on television for one reason or the other.

This is why we don't watch very much tv. There is nothing on there for us to watch. The news is a joke. Movies pretty much suck. There is nothing for the kids to watch that is kid friendly. Even having DISH Network does nothing for us. We purchased satellite thinking the Disney channel would be good for the kids. Yeah right....some of those shows teach kids how to be disrespectful to parents. It is more of a politically correct program now. We have to monitor the Animal Planet becasue even though some of the shows are educational, the commercials are horrid. One minute we are watching a show on those meerkats and then BAM! there is a commercial about with young kids on there telling there parents to talk about sex to them. I agree with what they are saying but the commercial is a little too much for our 5 and 6 yr old. Anytime that tv is on that remote doesnt leave my hand.
As for TIVO...I refused to buy into that crap. If I miss a show then too bad.

I read an item on the forum about the fox station kuqi and somebody was paying over 100 dollars a month for television programming. That is dumb if not insane. People need to get out more and live in the real world and stop living in two dimensions. Most children now have the attention spans of a 15 second commercial spot.

The last time I had really good television is when the satellite signal from Canada made it down here. We could get BBC World (not the dumbed-down version called BBC America) and the television shows were better with fewer commercials. Then they cut the signal so you need to live near Canada to get it. Oh well! Nice while it lasted.

lol....I prefer watching the reruns of Reba just because I can relate to her. We live on a ranch so our kids are outside most of the time. There is plenty for them to do and they prefer to be outside instead of inside. They are happy and when it is time to come in and clean up for dinner they are beat.

When they come home from school they do homework and then go outside to take care of their dogs and then play for about 2 hours. That is the best medicine any parent can give their children. Freedom to run around outside. It is also good for the parents to get that fresh air and relax while keeping an eye on them.

There is something on channel 38? I can't see a thing. Channel 47 is great and they have a lot of good shows and the classics like Hawaii 5-0.

If and when channel 38 works let me know. I have a large outside antenna and I used autotune and manual tune and the best I get is figures moving around a snowstorm.

If everyone did this our communities would be healthier too. I'm getting sick of TV. This morning I watched a few minutes of the Today Show and it has gone from a news show to an infomercial for the latest movie or book that is likely being sold by NBC's company. They should be required to run a crawler with the word INFOMERCIAL during most of the stories on the Today Show.

I believe KRIS Channel 6 is the worst Channel. That is because they say purposeful inaccuracies.

Maybe Fox 38 KUQI Corpus Christi is the worst. If you could get it anywhere in Texas that is.

Can you understand the English they use on the other stations you can get? I can't. They make up words all the time.

KRIS and KIII. The station that has mayor Henry Garrett on that show called State of the City is awful. They don't allow anyone to ask that creep Garrett any real questions. I know several people who have called in some tough questions for Henry and they are never asked. To make things worse that Katy what's-her-name helps Henry Garrett answer the questions. That and more is professional journalism Corpus Christi, Texas style. This is the journalism they teach a schools like A & M.

I always watch Channel 3. I have done so since I was young. I like all the people on there like Rudy Trevino, Katy Kiser and Michael Gibson. They all do a great job and it always seems like I'm watching news in Dallas, where my grandmother lives.

KIII is the best of the news in Corpus Christi. Rudy Trevino needs to stop talking about the problem of diabetes in Corpus Christi and lose some weight and he needs to tell the pigs in Corpus to get off their butts and exercise. Maybe if they rode bikes, ran or walk around Corpus more they would obey traffic laws when they are behind the wheel. Corpus Christi has the fattest population in the United States and Rudy needs to tell them to get out and do things. Maybe Rudy can do a special and ride around Corpus on a bike to see how long he will survive without getting killed by some fat pig SOB in a Ford Explorer or Chevy Suburban.

Then Katy Kiser could stop helping the mayor of Corpus Christi Henry Garrett answer questions on that show about the city. They make the questions easy enough to answer but then that Katy helps him answer even the stupidest of questions.

I have a top ten list of questions that Katy should ask Henry Garrett that they will not ask because they live in fear of the corruption in the city.

Maybe Katy Kiser and Rudy Trevino could start a segment called Pamper Patrol along the same line as Pothole Patrol. You could turn in dirty diapers to them and they could go out and film the scene and ask why the diapers are not cleaned-up. That's a show the few educated people could get behind.

To me kristv is the worst From the announcer who over pronounces every hispanic name to the hispanic slant on every story. can you tell that a hispanic is the news director? I thought that the news stations reported news for everyone but not kris.Watch the weather snd ALL that is mentioned is the southside Does no one live any where but the southside?? ALL employees need to be fired and a new crew hired. First to go Biancia Castro.

I miss Walter Furley , Whenever I hear his voice now on a commerial I think it is luch time ,, and I am home in Port A.

Anyhow ,, I seem to always watch channel 6 news , I am not sure why because it can aggravate the heck out of me ,, there was this one morning news anchor several years ago that over pronounced hispanic names so badly that when Laura Canales died she became tongue tied in trying to say it . and had to start completely over,,

I wanted to complain ,,,, LLLLLLLLLowro Canalllllllllllalllllllll oh it was awful , it was really out of control , and it didnt do the lady who passed any decency either, it was her merely trying to show us how Hispanic she,,, the anchor ,,,,

What was her name ,, Josephina, Jo something ,

Are you serious??? Rudy needs to Slim down and Katy Kiser answers her own questions. You may not know this. Did you know that there is no general professional code of ethics for journalist??? Really!!! This is true!!! Next time you hear about some f-up at the New York Times or watch the local news people brown nose city officials remember that there is no standard professional ethics for journalists. They hide behind the Constitution and freedom of the press. Whoever said that patriotism is the refuge of a scoundrel had it all wrong. The first refuge of a scoundrel is freedom of the press.

Nobody in their right mind listens to the local news. Fox on TW cable is messed up. They are new so give them time to fix things. In the meantime they can send us special glasses that will merge the two images into one we can watch.

KIII news is a joke. Whoever came up with the "dream team" of Joe Gazin and Katia Uriarte should be fired. It's so obvious that he does not like sharing the spotlight with that bimbo, it's uncomfortable for the viewers. She tries to be so "cutesy," bobbing her head, giggling and making little asides. She is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. She needs to watch some reputable female news anchors that take their job seriously. Even Bianco Castro on KRIS has some poise. And to Joe Gazin -- STOP POINTING AT THE CAMERA for emphasis. That is SO WRONG! Didn't your mother ever teach you that pointing is rude?

I worked for one of those stations recently and have to agree that they all need some serious work, but FOX and KRISTV are the worst.

FOX KUQI who? Wha?

Channel 10 is up and coming, but they lack the resources to really put up good numbers. Nationally, CBS is the ratings leader in prime time and a number of other sectors. KZTV is going with a younger group of anchors, which is probably a good thing, but you can still see the immaturity in their reports.

Channel 3 KIII is ok, but they need a to let loose a little here in CC. They are #2 nationally in ratings. They do a lot of work with the community, hospitals, schools, etc., which is a very good thing, but they still have a ways to go. They definitely need some new anchors!!! Katia is actually very good, but you can tell that Joe does not like spending time with her.

Channel 6 KRIS is almost the worst! They are not community oriented and they have sooooooo many internal problems. They finally started to come around the corner in terms of news and production quality, but they still have a ways to go. It always comes from the top down in every company, so take that comment and run with it. That will give you an idea as to how the company is run. Plus, I hear they are the worst company to work for. Although, the anchors and reporters are definitely tops, but it is unfortunate they don't have updated resources to work with. I mean look at their dilapidated building. Gross! They share a street with hookers and gang members.

Ultimately, TXCN is the best source for news on TV in Texas. WFAA-ABC in Dallas is probably the best station in Texas and they broadcast live from the American Airlines Center. If you have not been and you have the chance to go then do it! Very very cool!

I perfer to stick with the Caller-Times.
