I have been living in a city of Orange County and starting wondering whether Corona is an alternative place to live in?

Some tells that there is bad smell blown in from the cows.

Anyways, I would like to reference all of opinions from who is living there.

Thank you
K Kelly

We lived here since August 2001. Paid $288,000 for a brand new 3100 sq.ft house on a 7500 sq.ft lot with pool jacuzzi bbq the works. My home is approaching the $800,000 price. Those days are gone but you can still get a whole lot more house here then in Orange County which by the way borders just a few miles away. I was reluctant to move here but am so glad we did.

Hello Kelly
I have just heard from my friend who told it is very severe level of air pollution in San Bernadion County according to a study, but he's not sure whether it tells about Corona or not.

Kelly!
You have been living a really good place, and I am really envying you.
Could you please tell me whether the mood of the redident of 92879 is good or not to live? Especially the upper right side of the intersection of15 and 91.

Thank you
Michelle

Corona is in Riverside county, not San Bernardino county, and has no severe pollution issue.

We moved here from OC 1.5 years ago, and live south of the 91 fwy; there is no odor from any cows or other animals. North of the 91 may put you nearer sources of those kinds of odors.

It's a really nice city, green and leafy, especially as you near the forest, which is picturesque and really very pleasant to have nearby.

Good luck making a decision; we're very happy here!

I have lived in the OC in the past ..a total of approx. 12 years. My husband grew up in the OC...Fullerton. We now have lived in Corona for approx 13 years...Man this is the good life!!! I admit the freeway in to the OC is bad, but at least you don't have to live in a 40 year old cracker box and call it a home!...The OC is overpriced!!!! Corona is the Bev. Hills of Riv. county!!!
I LOVE CORONAS TOO

CORONA is also the name of a beer made in MEXICO and a whole lot of gringos and gringas love it. It goes good with tacos, burritos, enchiladas, bar b que, etc. PERHAPS THE CITY CAN BE RENAMED SINCE IT MAY SOON BE ILLEGAL TO UTTER SPANISH WORDS.

Hell NOOOOOO!!!! corona is so ghetto i moved out here 1.5 year ago and i still can't get used to it it's so ugly. unlike o.c. it is very nice and there's a lot to do there not just sit around and do nothing or have to travel 20 minutes to get to a party. o.c. is also closer to da beach which makes less hot den ghetto corona, corona is like a oven during summer and during winter is like an igloo.

I've been in Corona for 4 yrs now. Moved from LA. My only complaint is that I still work in LA and the commute kills me, but Corona is a beautiful place to live. If it wasn't, believe me I would not be spending this many hours in traffic.

The school system in Corona is excellent. I have one child in the Gate program and another got accepted into the IB program. They are both very excited about the IB program...especially Science Camp.

As for Corona vs. Orange...Corona wins hands down. I grew up in Orange...I go back now and drive down Handy Street and marvel at how many freaking signs they have packed onto it. All the rules and regulations that city has imposed are gestapo like.

If you move to Corona...look for housing in the West side or South. Along 6th Street is just ghetto.

I just moved from orange as well, and I love it here. People are a little more guarded and hard to get to know, but there is no beating the housing prices. I live on the Norco border side of corona and norco definitly cares more about their animals then the care of their homes, but it really isn" better or worse than orange. The best change has been with my daughter, and the kids out here are more her style and less snobby than orange and orange co.

Corona has great schools. My son graduated from Corona High. My daughter gradauted from the new Santiago High School. Santiago with 4,000 students is more like a College Campus. South Corona was very well laid out and built in the 90's. 6th st and Main are the oldest areas, some older than 100 years old. The 91 Freeway will continue to get worse as the IE develops and is the only down side
