Heard a similiar story about a Corona cop a few years back. Some cops definitly think they're above the law. Especially the one in the story that I heard.

This is a bit like it is for physicians, but in reverse. Everyone "loves" their physician until they have to pay their co-pay.
To ramble on a bit, both police and physicians live about about 7 years less than the average in American society. This is probably related to abuse of the body's endogenous methamphetamine; that is adrenalin. It does the same thing. Docs are addicted to this natural upper because of the excitement sweating over bodies that are trying to dye. Police become addicted in their control over the lives of others when they are unable to control their own.(Numerous peer reviewed socialogical studies have corroborated this.)
How many lives does an officer "save" in a 40 year career? They get their high while responding to assault, etc. but too bad for CA cops,(and the victim) as they arrive just in time to call the coroner, partly because you poor souls in CA are not allowed to carry concealed heat.
OK, OK, I know. I'm normally a decent person, of good moral and ethical character, but I just received a speeding ticked (85 in 65) while trying to get to the ER in time to administer the clot dissolver (TPA) in a stroke patient. The officer delayed me so long that I was not able to help the patient.
So, I'm just being reactionary. I really love everybody.(For God's sake, how did the topic of "heat" enter this rant?" Maybe it's because the National Academy of Sciences did a meta analysis and recently determined that there is virtually no relationship to gun control laws and the incidence of gun related crime.)
Well, you can tell that I need to go to bed because I have not been at all focused in the above discussion.
Good night.
