I am looking to move to the Corona area and I am hoping to get an accurate idea of the time it will take me to get to Carson. I will be working there and I need to know if the times are going to make me look elsewhere. I know the distance but I do not know the traffic. I will need to be at work at 745am and leave at 5pm. What is the time difference if I use the 91 express way and pay the toll versus not using it. What would the toll be? I called the Police department for Corona thinking I would get help from someone there that would know but the lady on the phone was rude and acted bothered. I hope all the public servants in Corona are not like this.

I know it will suck but I am looking for a bit more information than that. I will take the suck if it means better schools for my babies and a safer place to live. Just depends on how big the suck would be as to find another one.

Corona has the worse traffic in and out at those times, you can plan on a 2hr drive each way tollroads $9.00 each way will save 1/2hr.I would buy at the west end of the city, because there are no good surface streets to get around a sig alert. the city officials base their re-elections on solving traffic congestion, but their solution is to place red light cameras everywhere.

I am not sure I would fit in. I am working towards a Mechanical Engineering degree and most of my work has been overseas. I think I will be moving to Utah instead.

We just moved to Corona 6 months ago. We bought a BEAUTIFUL house that backs onto the golf course. My husband still works in Long Beach and has to commute. The best way to beat the traffic is do like he does. He leaves at 5 or 5:30 and is home by 3or 4. We were in the same dilema not sure where to buy. We have 4 kids and 2 are in school. The school is great, and we are sure we made the right choice about moving. Long Beach was getting out of control. We, too thought about Utah and Texas as my husband can transfer. But he went to work in Utah las March for a few weeks and that changed his mind. Anyway, we love it out here and as long as you can handlethe traffic that's the catch.

Invest in fastrack! Whoever says it saves only 30 minutes has got to be kidding me. I get from Santa Ana to my house, which is off Foothill in South Corona in 25 min, in rush hour. I've tried it without the fastrack and it took about 1hr 40min. Yeah, it's safe to include that into monthly expenses if you want to keep your sanity.
To work in Carson you'd catch two pockets of bad traffic. Once on the 91 leaving Corona going into OC and the other by the 91 and 605. It backs up every morning right there. With fastrack your looking at about an hour commute, without it close to two hours.
