My Family and I are interested in purchasing a home in this zip code. Does anyone live in this zip code? Can you give me the good, bad, and the ugly? I know that there are a lot of dairies in the area and the smell can get pretty bad. How about the people? Any problems with crime, etc? I would appreciate any and all information. Thanks.

These are the problems that I have with the area-
-smell
-I've worked on a few houses in Eastvale and I've always found ALOT of dust and dirt on items that sit outdoors in a fixed location (probably from the dairies as well as the mass amount of construction going on).
-Its in the "armpit" of the I.E.(Mira Loma, Ontario, Pedley, etc....)
-I would have to believe that the foreclosure rate in Eastvale would be relatively high due to most of the homes being sold near the peak of the housing boom and I'm sure there were alot of subprime loans in the area. This could lead to some shadier people moving to the area.
-I don't know what your budget is, but if you work in OC, then Sierra del Oro is much closer.

I'm sorry to tell you it is not a good area. It is full of gangs and low income families that moved from Los Angeles when they could purchase new homes on an interest only loan with no down. Now, there are many foreclosures in that area. As far as the smell, these homes were built on dairies and there is a lot of methane in the soil. The soil can be hazardous to your health. Please think twice, I know the less expensive homes there are tempting, but it wouldn't be worth it to me!

HEY THERE!

I LIVE IN THE 92880 ZONE...BUT IN CORONA PROPER...NOT THE DAIRY / EASTVALE COUNTY ZONE

I WOULD CONSIDER MY NEIGHBORHOOD TO BE QUIET, WITH THE AVERAGE CONCERNS...I DON'T SEE GANGS ROMING AROUND HERE...MAYBE DOWNTOWN NEAR THE POLICE DEPT....THERE ARN'T ANY COWS HERE

I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU TAKE A TRIP TO CORONA PROPER AND THE EASTVALE AREA. PARK YOU CAR IN A NEIGHBORHOOD AND WATCH WATS GOING ON...THATS WHAT WE DID 15 YEARS AGO, WHEN WE MOVED HERE FROM ONTARIO...THATS DEF. GANG TERRITORY...AND FULL OF FAMILIES THAT LIVE TOGETHER...IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN////
GOOD LUCK TO YOU...YOU NEVER KNOW, YOU MIGHT END UP BEING ONE OF MY NEW NEIGHBORS...I'LL BE HAPPY TO LET YOU KNOW THE HOT SPOTS AND WHARE THE LOCAL CHURCHES ARE...IF YOUR ARE INCLINED...\
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

We are coming from a very small 1955 house in Westminster. We are looking for a reasonably priced newer, larger home.

How is the air quality? My kids play soccer and my husband has asthma. I worry that it will be unhealthy for them.

This must be a blessing to run into a web page such as this one. I've been searching for a home in the 92880 area, only because everything is already established. Last year I was searching in the 92883 area, I almost got stuck with one of those bad loans, praise God that he has blessed me with a powerful discernment, to use wisdom and not act on my emotions.
Iím actually out there every other weekend, itís like a biding war on those properties, everyone thatís practically 350K and below with 26 hundred through the 30 hundred Sq Ft. is owned by banks, some banks are getting back to the buyers and some arenít responding at all. For bid if you make an offer on a short sale, itís really becoming a huge headache.
I wasnít to please with the Cow area, because the smell is horrible, Iíve also been in some where I havenít smelled anything.
I have a daughter thatís going to be entering high school; I was looking at Roosevelt High, that school looks really good, can someone shad some light on high schools in Corona? Roosevelt high would be 9 miles from 92883 are code, at least thatís what my map tells me.
Just today Iíve made my mind up to go back to area code 92883, I didnít like what I seen in 92879, and the bad loan that I almost had was in 92882, thatís a good area too (I believe)
Any one that lived in Corona for a while, shade some light on churches, and high schools, Iíll be in the 92883 area code,
Thanks

It seems that you've been there for a pretty long time, how are the high schools? And where are the corporate jobs, are people actually commuting? In light me on the train stations, I would like to check some routes, until our family life adjust to our new move. That will probably take a year are so.

I dont know what they are talking about 92882- that is a nice area! I live there. Maybe it is just too expensive for some people. Main and ontario is the cross streets where I am near and have been here for 14 years. LOVE IT! I was fortunate to buy in when after Main and Ontario all there were was orange groves, but those days are gone, so are the days of a house on a 1/4 acre for 100K. Nonetheless, nice area as far as I am concerned. Cannot comment on schools. I am young but do not have children. I would suggest staying out of Eastvale area, alot of people are losing their homes. That is already becoming a renters area, lots of renters, means lots of problems for homeowners. 92882 is full of people who have been grounded for years in Corona and are not going to loose their homes, therefore the neighboorhoods shouldnt change much over the next 5-10 years. Just a thought

I moved to 92882 (south of Ontario, Mountain Gate area) about 3.5 years ago. My wife and I have lived in South OC since kids. We love our neighborhood. We have found an awesome Church (Pastor Chuck @ Crossroads is the BOMB!) and have made some of the most important friendships in our lives here. You will love any of the neighbor hoods south of Ontario in the 92882 & 92881 neighborhoods.

When they included Eastvale in the 92880 zip code our home value dropped 10%. When they changed our telephone prefix to 951 from 909 our home value rose 10%.

That is one of the most stupidest things I have ever read!

my wife and i were looking at some homes around 92880 area by 15 fwy. where Limonite exit, plenty of new and semi new homes, can someone tell me are those in the good/safe neighborhood of 92880.?

Limonite exit is a bad investment, lots of renters now. People way over their head with their mortgages and losing their homes on a daily basis. If you want to live in an area that has on average 4-5 roommates per home than buy off limonite. Otherwise go further south to 92882 area of Corona. Main and Ontario ish is good.

My husband and I bought our home 4 1/2 years ago in the Corona Valley/Eastvale area. We moved from Yorba Linda. My husband, children and I are very happy living in Corona. The homes are nice, the schools are new and awesome, nice parks, we love our neighbor hood and our neighbors too. My brother and his family also moved from Orange County and they to love it in the 92880 area! I work in Orange County and communiting is not a problem. I communte by taking the metro-link, by taking the train there is no stress and you meet a lot of great people. I also agree that Crossroads located in Corona is an awesome Church!
