Truly saddened by the news. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers. May the shooter be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I guess the difference is he ended up dying instead of killing someone else. Had he not had a gun with him he wouldn't have died senselessly. Now there is a young man in jail for shooting him when he shouldn't have even had access to a gun.

Is this why there were helicopters hovering over Santana Park this morning? Doesn't make sense...too far away, but have been unable to find out what they were looking for. Anyone know?

thats the point!!! if the "victim" did not have a gun nobody would be dead or in jail. if you choose to carry a gun you really should be prepared to use it and not allow it to be taken away from you and used on you!!! it's too bad but if this young man didn't take the gun we would be discussing his DEATH and the"victim" would be in jail!!! nothing good can come from pulling out a gun!!!

Lee so how do you know the details of what happened that night? In the article it does not mention anywhere that the Victim was shot by his own gun.

if the victim didnt bring the gun then nothing
would of happen.. its self defense if someone pulls out a gun on u trying to put your life in danger im not saying it was right for him to kill him. but it was his falut for bring the gun in the first place.the young man should get a fair trial
that it was SELF DEFENSE

I don't think you stop to think about where to aim when you are defending yourself. You just want to stop what is happening. The truth about it is none of us were there and we don't know exactly what happened. This whole situtation could have been avoided. It is a sad situtation for both families involved.
