It seems like all of Southern Cali heard this. That does not sound like a SWAT exercise to me at all and it sounds like something the government is hiding.

My son and I heard and felt the booms also. There were several of them. Sounded like when a washing machine is overloaded and bangs against your wall. I was even more surprised when I picked up my daughter from school and she heard it too and the school did not know what it was. She goes to school on the other side of town from where I live! Weird!!

I also heard noises in Corona...loud enough to get me out of the shower. My kids were told at school the the FBI was investigating the noises. That doesn't coorelate with the SWAT training explanation.

Dont put speculation on here. I was in clear view of the quary and it didnt come from there! There is usually smoke from explosions or at least dust (explosives that size anyway) I didnt see anything. Almost felt like sonic booms. Maybe the gov was testing a new aircraft?

I heard it too, my first thought was the aurora jet. Anyone know if people heard this all the way out toward Nevada?

It wasn't heard in interior Riverside County. Banning, Beaumont, Hemet/San Jacinto, Temecula, Lake Elsinore and Perris didn't hear anything. Anyone in or near Orange County that heard anything more than likely heard Camp Pendleton's Zulu artillery impact range light up today from mortar and large impact munitions training (which will be and has been conducted from 0600-2359 or 6:00am today through 11:59pm today). People near Corona or in the city heard the training exercise. Secondly this wasn't just Corona SWAT, this was also a training exercise with Riverside County Sheriff's Bomb Squad. Where multiple live bombs were detonated as part of the training exercise.

It was definitely military artillery. No way was it SWAT or PD. Why the local government would outright lie, I don’t know. If I were to guess the sound with a blindfold on, I would say it sounded like a C130 gunship shooting ordinance. Why the local government would want to cover this up, I could not venture to guess.

Funny thing is, such a big event with so many people, the press is not making much of this. Sounds like they got word from someone to shut up about it.

The press isn't making a big deal out of it because it was a police training exercise in Corona. That's all, simple as that. Story ended. There was no further reason to stick there big media noses in any further. It wasn't reported being heard in any other city other than Corona. It's no government cover up. Anything anyone else "heard" was a) artillery from Camp Pendleton, b) a figment of their imagination, c) local city noise, or d) they just want to say they heard something and didn't really hear anything.

All the information I posted earlier is available to the public all people have to do is simply google it and and look at it.

While in the police academy the Sheriff Department bomb squad would detonate explosives, the sound that was made today is no way SWAT training! Call Corona PD and ask them if they have a SWAT team, if they say no, then assume it was SWAT training because anyone close enough to that nose would be dead from the concussion, brain would be mush!

HA! That's all hear say. There is nothing to back that up whatsoever. You're right it wasn't military what happened in Corona it was a POLICE exercise. I live in Beaumont and work outside, Hemet is only down the hill from here about 5 miles. I didn't hear one dang thing except birds at 10:30am. Booms that can be heard in Los Angeles would certainly have been audible here.

If it was truly as wide spread as people say this was, then USGS seismographs would have picked up ground tremors from the so called booms that were heard for such a great distance away from Corona. Sonic booms despite being in the air still resonate off the ground causing seismic waves. Explosions or Booms that can be heard over 50 miles away in Los Angeles from Corona would definitely be strong enough to be measured by the seismographs across Southern California.

Something more than military eh? An alien conspiracy would be my guess then. They were probably blowing up invisible defense shields or something.

1st rule of thumb is... don't believe everything your kids were supposedly told at school.

By the way... I live in Hemet regardless of what the forum automatically assigned for my location... and Camp Pendleton's artillery ranges CAN be heard from all over western Riverside County during the day as well as at night. I have heard the artillery numerous times and a simple check of the Camp Pendleton website will plainly advise (just like Air X apparently knew to check) when artillery exercises will be held.
