Single payer! And if that's not good enough for anyone they could get supplemental coverage through private insurance companies.

You are absolutely correct, a single payer plan is the way to go, Obamacare is the foot into the door...

I keep hearing all kinds of gloom & doom from the politicians and talking heads on the right who agree the current system is broken and who keep saying the Affordable Care Act must be repealed but they never have any substantive alternative.

Of course they have no alternative. That's how they roll. They're just AGAINST everything Obama.

Obamacare needs to be tweaked, as every major legislation needs to be tweaked. But repubs just want to eliminate it, and let the private health insurers continue to charge huge premiums, drop people when they get sick, and disallow pre-existing conditions.

But mainly the repubs want desperately to stop Obamacare before it really kicks in and we find out that we actually like it. If they weren't so afraid of its success, why wouldn't the repubs just let it go into effect, see it destroy America as they claim it will, and then get tons of repubs elected in 2014, and get a repub president in 2016?

After all, the repubs have shown that they don't mind hurting our country if it benefits them politically.

Naawww! I'm on single payer. I'm on the original Obama health care proposal. You see I'm on Medicare with supplemental coverage. That's right, the original proposal was for Medicare coverage for EVERYONE and if you wanted enhanced coverage you could get it on the side.

Obama originally wanted single payer and YOU repubicans said no and negotiated for what we now call the Affordable Care Act. And when we agreed, YOU repubicans wouldn't even vote for your own mess so Obama Care is what you get.

My insurance carrier said if there were single payer that covered everyone my rates for supplemental coverage would go down because I'm paying for everyone who shows up at the E.R. who doesn't have insurance

So how would you fix the problems with our current medical mess? And it's not a trick question.

You haven't been paying very close attention. There were alternatives introduced by the GOP.

Better question is...
If obamacare is so F-ing good?
Why do those who have created and implemented this pile of socialistshit exempting their lying and disgusting selves from it?

What's good for the gander, is good for the goose? Yes?

Besides... these idiots in Government, they have obviously forgotten who they do work for.

Yes, if Obamacare is so good then why has Congress exempted themselves from the very law that they tell us we must live by? Why all exemptions for various businesses and unions? Why are Dems now admitting that Obamacare is a nightmare?

I stated right along that we needed health care reform but Obamacare is definitely not the answer. I do know that the Dems intended right along for this to be the first step towards a single payer system, Obama admitted as much, but how many people and businesses will be hurt before that takes place?

Blame that on your republican representatives. We could have done this the easy way butt no, we got what you righties wanted. So again, how would you change the healthcare system if you could?

Oh, and I saw an interview with a republican representative from Kansas on MSNBC and he was asked about the exemption for Federal Government representatives and all he could do is turn red.

Of course, you are wrong.
Nobama and the dems made a unilateral decision to create nobamacare without input/support from everyone.........and just like nobama foreign policy, it was ill conceived and has become a very real problem.
Nobama found it politically expedient to go to the ENTIRE congress on the foreign policy issues of late, but he hasn't been able to ask for help with nobamacare. The resulting mess is the fault of nobama and the democratic party.
You guys need to own the problems and make it work....for everyone.

No. Obama made that statement before he was President. It is a statement regarding the American people not political opponents.

Here is the current Obamacare scenario. The number of doctors in this country is decreasing while the number of IRS agents is increasing. That alone tells you that Obamacare is going to be a nightmare.

When you read something like this, does anyone wonder why oblamer care wants to consider up to 25 yo's as adolescents???

What these liberal dipshits fail to see is, there should be twoo classes for this!
1. adolescence up to at least 50 yo for liberals.
2. adolescence up to 18 for conservatives.

Under the creed of modern liberalism, the individual citizen is not called to maturity but is instead invited to begin a second childhood. Like the child at play, he is given, or at least promised, ultimate economic, social and political security without having to assume responsibility for himself. The liberal agenda requires him to remain in an artificial environment--the daycare program of the grandiose state--where he need not become an adult, take responsibility for his own welfare, nor cooperate with others to achieve what the state will give him for nothing.
