I'm Steven's cousin.. It's good to see positive comments with condolences and love. He will be missed dearly and I feel deeply for the entire family. All the good friends and believers, keep your faith. I hope someone or a few are punished for this. If not, well I'm highly disappointed. Nobody should ever be punished for their appearance and run Hitler across this country when we've gone so far for our freedom. I will continue my tattoos, now in Steven's memory. Rest in piece Steven.

My heart goes out to the family of Steven Biddle. I knew Steven and his wife thru my work but he was a very nice young man and surely didnt deserve this.Bring justice to this case. Restraining a person to death is murder!Period! My prayers are with his wife and child....Mary

The loss of anyone is very sad, and I'm sure Mr. Biddle was loved by family and friends. I just want to comment on the "stories" and the blog. First of all, most people seem angry and want vengance, or have an opinion about how this "tragedy" (for everyone involved) went down. Reports are very conflicting, but there are some consistencies. Steven's father initiated an unneccesary conflict, and in the end, his son was gone. Did anyone ask themselves what they would do if a man physically accosted them or a family member? Wouldn't you fight back? Would you? Perhaps this was an accident? I doubt the individual who faught back was aiming to kill someone. Maybe they were fighting for their life? If you weren't there, zip it up and pray for everyone involved. It's a sad day for everyone who's lives this has touched...on both sides of the issue. Both sides!

I am a mother and a friend of Steves. I was not there. Steve and his dad did not go there to start a fight but it happened. The fisherman went there not to have taken a life. But it happened. The memorial was yesterday and very emotional especially when his daughter spoke. I personally do not believe that the fisherman were fighting for their lives but you have an opinion as I do. There are so many ifs. If the fisherman were not there that day Steve would be alive, If Steve was not there he would be alive, if the fisherman did not say things to them Steve would be alive, if his dad did not hit someone Steve would be alive, if the Fisherman did not use forceful restraint, Steve would be alive. If it was in reverse Steve and his friends would have been charged with murder or manslaughter. Just because he had a past record (nothing of violence) everyone is judging him and his dad. The young man is gone from his family and friends and leaving a little girl without a dad and he was a good husband and dad and a loving son. He will be missed by alot of people. The fisherman will always or should have on their conscience that indeed they took a life and live with that. Even if it was not intentional it happened. All of their children still have their dads.I am not going to respond to anymore slurs against the Biddles, my heart goes out to them and may Steve rest in peace. mo

Look at Red Bluff paper under Autopsy forum and you might get the answer why no names were mentioned. The minor kids held him down

1.) How can you call these people murderers? none of you, including me were there? its not fair to the people involved.
2.) It amazes me how everyone is so concerned about the names of the people involved. Why does this matter? you should be more focused on how you can help the family, and remembering this man in a good way.
3.) I've heard my fair share of stuff about this man myself, none that i will mention, but he could of had some sort of medical problems. he was being held down, he had minor injuries!! he WAS NOT beaten to death! C'mon people, think about it, it's not possible.
4.) Whats happened is already over, nothing you say or do will bring him back, lets focus on the things that matter. like his family! No one is a murderer in this case, if it was a fight, it was self-defense either way.

How dare you go on the internet and say these things!!! Message boards have always traditionally been a place where people go to sympathize with people, and offer love and support. This young man and his father were model citizens. How dare you. You should be ashamed of yourself.

'everybody knows'- i think you mis-interpreted my comment. i didnt no i was being offensive. im simply stating my opinion, and i was defending both sides. im in no way shape or form ashamed of myself. it is a very tragic thing. but you cant focus on things that dont matter!! the people were not murderers! they were defending themselves. and if he would have had a broken windpipe they would have said that, the dad was the only one who had injuries. stop all the nonsense, thanks to those who understand what i was trying to say!

It sounds to me like annonymous is the actual perpetrator here. In fact I'd say you are trying like .... to make Steven sound like he was a no good who had no right to continue to live and breath the same air as you. So what I think is that you my (not friend) are the one responsible for Steven's demise and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why you seem to be 'ABOVE THE LAW.' Now then of course say if someone who was scared has decided to come forward with their take on what was seen and heard, maybe then you won't get to hide behind the skirts of all your dreamt up LIES to help yourself sleep at night. I know Steven is no longer in pain but you I think are having a real hard time justifying what you did in a public park to two inocent man and his family and friends who love them. I'm sorry but you are sorely out numbered here. SLEEP WELL!

I know you are meaning well but let Steve now rest in peace. Enough of posts as the ignorant people will continue to add sarcastic and demeaning remarks.

Steven Biddle was my boyfriends & my really amazing friend. He is remembered by his wife, beautiful daughter, and all of his friends and family. How dare ANY of you; talking shit about this man whos life was taken from him, and his wife and kid. He did have a past, and that's what it was THE PAST. Any of you who hold that against someone and say they should die for it should look in the mirror. The one year of his death is coming up, and i will be mourning him like everyone else who ever got to know how truly amazing he was. Nobody deserves to die by getting their throat smashed in. We miss you Steve. So much. I cry everytime i hear 'Last Kiss' now. Can't help but wish you were here. We love you.

So sorry to find out about this 5 years later. I knew Steven in high school and he was a sweet boy. A little ornery at times but harmless as I saw him. Didnt want to "start" stuff with anyone.

I hope that eventually more was learned about Steve's death, from what I can see right now, it may never have been solved and maybe no one was ever charged? Was there or was there NOT any sign of bodily injury? I am reading reports that there were NO signs of injury. Yet these comments state that there was great bodily injury? I hope to find someone who knows something. And I hope his wife and little girl coped through the devastation.

This was a tragedy that will never be solved. We all know who did this and why they weren't charged. The Deputy Coroner committed Suicide within weeks of the autopsy. They are part of the Good Ol' Boys and have relatives on the force. His Wind pipe was crushed in as he was held down by multiple people and stomped on the throat. Why could they never say what killed him if it wasn't brute force. Larry got to watch this all happen to his son as he was also being kicked in the face. They were given drug screens but the group of men never were. Why would that be? The first officer on the scene was also the groups relative. Imagine that. I would love to hear the 911 call, or the call to the relative I should say.
