The mayor chief and animal guy all knew about this. This is also on the mayor part on this sight. As somebody else said, we need to clean house at city hall starting at the top.

i hope it DOES reach national news. lmao. they probably don't take care of any animals they catch. something needs to be done about our "small-town politics" anyways. we need a new mayor AND all new police dept. I'm sure they're all hoping this will blow over, but i hope it doesn't. we have needed a new chief for some time now. let's not forget about his little "family incident" involving his racist son going to prison.....

I would say that the mayor is mostly at fault here.
The chief does what he is told.

You are right but that is not the way it works!!
The chief works for the mayor not for you or me or the people of corning!
I have been here 49 years , and all the chiefs in the past have been that way ,why would jim earl be any different.
The mayor is responsable for the chiefs actions .

I was being sarcastic when I said it was great for our town. It is his word against the poor dogs. I hope there is an investigation to see if the dogs really had rabies.

if the dogs were rabid it would have been reported per guidelines. it is truly shameful that they even mentioned dr seagraves name. anyone who has ever used dr seagraves knows she would not recomend euthanizing those dogs in such a manner

When you have 7 or 8 dogs in the same pen they are going to fight . When dogs fight , they have saliva run down . That dont mean they have rabies .Chaulk another one up for are dear mayor . He's a dandy .

Unless the people of corning demand action be taken this will be swept under the rug. Corning citizens I call to you to demand the Chief and all others involved be brought to justice. Please don't let this die down. It is time Corning is known for the great citizens it has and not the crooked Police Department. Not only were 9 dogs shot yesterday, they also shot 2 the day before. Gene Miller and Jim Earl Groning were both shooting the dogs.

Just heard Ch 8 report it is LEGAL in AR to euthanize a dog by shooting with firearm if done correctly.
