After checking the 10/31 Courier, it looks like the new roadway will follow the existing road, except for the by-passes around Pocahontas and Corning.

The four-lane will go from the German Church curve to the Datto curve. The State was going to make it closer to Corning, but we all know how sneaky Dewayne can be with his annexing! The mayor has gone to the North to Melanie Heights and to the West to the Airport and Westwood Acres. It seems that anywhere there are three or four homes together, The mayor wants to make them a part of the city to collect the taxes.

As soon as the roadway is established, Walmart will move there with a Supercenter. There is a company who is out to save all they can on sales taxes! They will resist any annexing.

Missouri is getting ready to finish another section south of Poplar Bluff. Their new road will meet the Arkansas line one forth mile west of the existing road. At that point, Missouri will wait five to seven years or more for Arkansas to get the money to finish their 51 miles!

I doubt the local Walmart is doing enough business to warrant a new store here.

Take a look around this town! If it takes 5 more years to complete the 67 corridor, with all the geriatrics in Corning reaching that pivotal age, the population will be off another 500 or so.

Remember, everyone who is able has already moved. The ones left can't afford to go.

No Industry, bad water(thank you, mayor), and no reasonable housing makes this town more and more easier to leave each day.

Notice all the farmers who have moved away and left their employees in charge. Paragould and Jonesboro offer so much more when it comes to jobs, housing, and water that you can actually drink!

yep, taken 40 years to get from north little rock to tuckerman, ahtd website site saying 2016 from tuckerman to hoxie. The government is broke so probably be 20 more years from hoxie to state line.
