The local seldomly travel so they thrive off local gossiping. We are their news. It is funny.

We all enjoy the guilty pleasures of talking about other people. But gossip is more than just idle chitchat, it's also how we arrange our world as social animals.
WE'VE ALL SEEN BOTH SIDES OF GOSSIP. ONE SIDE is the warm feeling you get from spending time with a friend and sharing stories about mutual acquaintances. The other side is the stomach-churning anger, shame and frustration you feel when you realize someone is spreading bad news about you. We want to be on the right side of gossip, but sometimes it illuminates while other times it just burns.
When it's good, it binds people and communities together. As anyone who has lived in a small community knows, gossip is something that people who share a collective identity do naturally.

Everyone gossips whether good or bad, and it's not only people from Lewisburg, it's all over the world.

You are right. I was going to say the same. Just don't let people bring you down with negative gossip. Act like it doesn't bother you and people will leave you alone. Have you ever had someone try to argue with you and you won't argue back? I have and it makes the other person soooo mad that you won't argue back and forth with them! They usually get really upset if you just smile!! Try it, it's actually kinda funny!

Whatever happened about the theme park that was heading our way?

Did the local folks scare them away or was it a realtor thing to strum up some business?

My personal opinion of Lewisburg...not enough things to do or just go hang out in a coffee shop or they need some kind of entertainment like in bigger cities and states...but,then again that's just mine.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.peace
