I have recently discovered that my grandfather may have possibly came from Asheville to Pittsburgh Pa. I was wondering if you have any information on a William J Simonton Sr b. 1912 or any possible relatives? I have read some information on your city and it is beautiful! Hopefully, I will be able to visit

Does anyone know the location of the Simmons Cemetery in Alto?? I found my great-great-grandmother's death certificate, dated 1925, which states she was buried in the Simmons Cemetery in Alto. Under "Undertaker" was written "Friends and Relations". This was Jane Nunnally Simmons, wife of Ira C. Simmons, in the Golden Hill district. Informant was W. W. Simmons of Alto. If you know where this cemetery is, please let me know. It is not listed in the Banks County Cemetery book. Please contact me at [email protected] if you can help me.
