Corinth can keep their bills in their village what they want is to pass them on to the town of corinth. And tax the heck out of thoses who never had the sevices or made the bills.

this is not an isolated problem..it is going on all over the country and i believe that it is just the beginning.....eventually leading to something far worse......not just with taxes but with the whole government and the present administration......and our divided america....something has got to give......

OK so lets say the Village is eliminated to "save money". All this will be is a name change. The word "Village" will be replaced by "Special Districts". The old broken down sewer pipes, the rundown roads, the need for a filtration plant for clean water etc. etc. will still exist in the "Village". Changing the name from "Village People" to "Special District People" makes the broken down expensive to repair infrastructure "go away". I don't think so. You are left in the same boat. Someone needs to pay for it. Will it be the Town Taxpayers picking up the tab (taxes go up)? Will the Village (Special District) see no savings if the town doesn't "pickup" the tab? Will grants go away because of "Village" elimination (taxes go up)? No matter what game is played with "consolidation".... did I mention something about the sewers, the roads and the filtration plant..... it doesn't "go away" and it is the bulk of taxpayer expense. If you "eliminate" the Mayor and staff you save "a little" but that ain't going to fix.... did I mention something about the sewers, the roads and the filtration plant? Town people watch your wallet get smaller! Special District people watch your wallet get smaller!
