Oracle, this post is very nice of you. I was under the impression you didn't like me.(I like you.) I'll take your advice and stop reporting to the moderators. I respect your opinion, and especially the fact that you advised me in such a polite and kind manner. I thank you.

I can't get over the kindness of your message to me. You made my day, I mean it! I'm so glad you cared enough to call my fault to attention so I can do something about it.

As for our health issues, we're no worse but we're pretty much confined to the house. Our home health aides are a tremendous help.

I'm also happy - I got good news today. I knew my son and his wife were going to have the baby baptized, but they hadn't set a date. It's going to be in the middle of April. Same church they got married in (Catholic). Also same church my DIL made most of her sacraments in and I think that's lovely. What I don't like is it's costing them around $3,000!!! When I had my son baptized, I had cake and coffee at my grandparents' apartment. My son and DIL are inviting about 70 people! Sit-down dinner at a fancy restaurant - even bridal and baby showers cost a fortune! We used to have cake and coffee at somebody's house. They sure spend way too much these days.

You are so right, the trend appears to be that what used to be intimate family gatherings where tea and cakes and a joy of just being with family and friends was sufficient, have become grand, costly events.

I guess we are probably of the age Sherlayne, which makes us think that $3000 would be better used if it were set aside to help the child later in life, but hey! It will probably be a lovely day. I do hope so.
