Truth is, it's the Same way at Biggersville. If your not a Rowsey or a Seago then you are a nobody. And the ones that make the grades, somehow get brought down because they don't have the name!! And I also agree, if Gina wants to stay in she better get to listening to the people that voted her in and answer phone calls instead of acting like she isn't at the office every time people need to express stuff that's going on that is truly swept under the rug! Guess I'm gonna be at the next board meeting, bet they won't let ya talk if ya do go. But we shall see!
You are so wrong about Biggersville!

You have your opinion just as I do. I have witness the Balogna going on with my own eyes. Serious problems in the county schools and no one seems to care or will listen. But I just put what I see in Gods hands because I know God sees all too and he don't like ugly. Through lots of prayers And bended knees I know God can move any situation. Praying for all these people and children in the entire system.

One big problem is Smith wants the school to win state for football and basketball only he doesn't care about any other sports that's why he has 10 football coaches who can't teach any classes other than history or health. That takes away the real academic classes cause they cant afford any other teachers and hurts the students.

LMAO, this is so damn funny. I remember being called names, laughed at, etc, when Gina got office and I told people here on topix what she would and wouldnt do. And its all coming to past. You people, who voted for her, deserve everything you get, or dont get, from her. And guess what, you idiots will vote for her again if she smiles and shakes you hand and temporarily make you feel like youre important. LOL This thread just made my day,no pity here, you voted for her dumb ass, you got her, now, lay down and take it like a man. LOL

Sad, but true. It always amazed me that the school would let an English or math teacher go due to lack of funding, but could somehow find the money to hire new coaches to collect a teacher's salary and not teach. Then, we, as parents, are asked to furnish copy paper, dry erase markers and such, but there's 6-7 men on the football field on Friday nights!! This is high school football, not the NFL. They don't need all those coaches. Take that money and buy supplies for the children to use in academic classes. The football team is top priority (and yes I know the booster club helps, but doesn't do it all). If part of that money was spent in books, so the kids don't have to share them, and technological equipment, the students might be more prepared for college. Most do OK at NEMCC, but talk to an average who went straight to a 4 year university, and they'll tell you how difficult it was for them that 1st year! But This has been going on out there for a long time and I doubt it will stop any time soon.

So sad that the whole Alcorn county schools are in terrible situations due to adults not doing the right thing and thinking about things such as football, and winning games. Majority of teachers and staff not there to educate the children and give them the best education possible we all gonna have to do our parts to get things right for our children. It's gonna be up to the citizens to try and help our kids get educated. The whole bunch need to be on their knees praying and asking god to give them guidance to making the right choices they make in every situation

So sad to see who loves the kids and who loves the paycheck. Time will take care of all the ones draining the govt with their actions.

Last time I checked there isn't a single high school student with the last name of Rowsey or seago.

See all of you are stupid! The last 2 coaches hired teach math and history. 3 of the football coaches volunteer and aren't even paid for it. EX-aggie needs to know facts instead of crap. only 4 caoches are paid. Just because you see one on the sidelines doesn't mean he is getting paid for it.

I teach there and ex Aggie has pretty much nailed it. WooHoo you've got 1 or 2 out of all of them that actually teach a class or 2 a day. Not only do they not teach as many classes as regular teachers, but recieve the same salary, they also recieve a coaching supplement.

When I was in high school (some years ago) the coaches I had weren't teachers. They read from the textbook. Very few exceptions. Coach Drewery actually new Gov/Econ and good teach.

you are a freaking idiot that knows nothing! Lettieri, Pitttman and Nelms get ZERO for coaching! The school board only allows 4 paid coaches so shut the hell up until you know what you are talking about!

Out of pure curiosity, I went to the KHS web site, athletics, football. It does list all 7 of those men as coaches. Why would they list them as coaches and employees, if they're not? Each man has whatever he teaches, then coach, under list of employees and their duties. I don't have a clue as to what happens on the field or whose on the sidelines, but I DO know the school, itself, list 7 football coachs on the website so I can understand why people might think there are 7 coaches.
